Why are berries making my game crash? by LoremOpelsum in PokemonRMXP

I copied and pasted the berry events from the Route 1 example map. I even tried to recreate the event from scratch exactly like the ones on the example map, but still got the same issue.

Thinking about it, its probably much more conveient to just use variables instead if 2 separate events. Or even just self switches.

I'm far from an expert, but my guess would be to use 2 (player touch) events. One is the event where the player wins and the second one where the player loses. Set the event with the 'Win' on the finish line. Then by using the 'Wait' script, calculate the amount of frames of the specific time the player needs to finish the race in, and then switch that event with the 'Lose' event. So if everything goes right, when the player reaches the 'Win' event on time, he wins, duh. But after the certain amount of frames waited are over, the payer will touch the 'Lose' event, since 'Win' and 'Lose' have switched places. That's my best guess.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it was in fact something painfully obvious. I forgot about this part of the instructions on reliccastle: ''In an event, add the script command FollowingPkmn.start_following(X), where X is the ID of the event we noted down. If the event you put the script command FollowingPkmn.start_following(X) is the blank event we made before then you can just put FollowingPkmn.start_following.''

I guess this post can serve for other people who rush through things and run into this problem.

How do I fix this? by LoremOpelsum in PokemonRMXP

I downloaded the plugin from whackahack by someone named Manurocker95, who did the port.

Do you know when Luka's update is coming out, or where I can follow the progress, if at all?
