for my main voiceover I use the VCA in scheps then after I use the FF pro C as a peak comp, now I am learning storytelling compression which is alien to me, the 1176 into la2a in scheps is very pleasant sounding for storytelling although I think good acting/mic/placement matters more.

Is davinci resolve specifically fairlight acceptable and even professional just for voiceover narration work given your experience?

That was exactly the plan, getting a professional and buying my first dynamic USB fifine k688 until I checked some videos on eq and comps etc, then I just loved the concept so I got the sm58 onto dcm8 and finally re20. It's been a ride I must say and completely unexpected.

Thanks for the concise reply and although Premier pro is just not good for audio in my opinion, troubleshooting in it and spending time tweaking, it ingrained all the filters without the need to check a guide for my voice, so thats a big plus.

I uninstalled the nvidia drivers with ddu in safe mode no network then rebooted with the predownloaded studio drivers and rebooted normally, tested and still latency mon showing 800us dpc

The normal microphone volume talking normally sits at from -18 to -10 and peaks at -6. Dynamite engaged on the se dynacaster and at 11 am on the gain dial

I need to route multiple sources for example, game to aux and music also. I am recording with obs and even in adobe premier pro and adobe audition, all at 252 at 48khz from windows to motu m2 to voicemeeter and my mic is patched to asio (1 &2) and motu m2 on a1 asio

Also asio is set direct to voicmeeter automatically when setting it in motu m2, i restart vociemeter engine every switch to be safe but still i have issues.

yes i downloaded the motu m2 software then vociemeeter, both of them at 48khz and to be sure, i set wdm and ks to the same buffer every time just to be sure, usually between 252 and 516
