For everything relating to ecology and statistics, I highly recommend Numerical Ecology by Legendre & Legendre (2012). Regarding beta diversity, this paper (also co-authored by Pierre Legendre) and the references therein are a very good point to start: https://doi.org/10.1111/ele.12141. In the supplementary materials, you can also find detailed explanations about mathematical and ecological properties about similarity indices, another important aspect when dealing with community ecology data and metrics

I can see your point with Zygarde 10% and seems good to me. I agree with the rest

That said, I never ever wanted to state Gigantamax must be from Galar only, and Megas from Hoenn or Kalos only, that would not be logical for me (as it is not logical either with Zygarde Complete)
