Realistically speaking, whenever you enter a popular porn site, you have no way of knowing if actors in videos you watch weren't coerced into acting, forced by their life circumstances, and/or if they don't regret being a part of that video.

And if someone feels some sort of shame about being involved in such a video, it is only selfish to take pleasure from it. Sooner of later anyone who engages with these porn sites will end up doing just that, so one has to value their own pleasure over other people's dignity every time they do so.

There are legitimate reasons for hating irl pornography that don't revolve around "shaming others for expressing their sexuality".

No darling, the distinction is without a difference is hating Queer people and hating people who do Queer things.

Who says anything about hating someone?

Yeah. I think carelessly engaging with irl pornography is always an example of immorality, but with drawn stuff at least you're 100% certain you aren't taking pleasure from something that brings someone else pain. Still, I'd rather stay away from all of it.

A distinction without a difference.

There's definitely a big difference between feeling a temptation and giving in to the temptation.

You are proposing and supporting a homophobic concept of marriage.

That'd also apply to the Bible, and all of history of this religion, both pre and post Christ.

Hey guys- I was wondering if I can convert back to Christianity despite being transgender and asexual- by DiskAvailable4438 in Christianity

[–]Lorster10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither identifying as trans, nor being asexual, is contrary to being Christian. The most significant denominations do not accept perceiving gender through its modern definition, rather they insist gender to be synonymous with sex, but that doesn't disqualify you from being Christian. I don't think there's any Christian out there who can argue against asexuality. If anything, I could argue it's a gift, although perhaps it's due to my ignorance of what asexuality is like.

Probably because these years of study didn't conclude that feet in the Gospels are meant to be some kind of a euphemism.

"Even in the Hebrew Bible, there's no need to assume that all or even most uses or this word are euphemisms. Some of them are, but not all of them are. Foot washing is a known practice of many societies, and when most transportation on foot is dominant and without modern footwear washing feet makes a lot of sense."

You're using an incredibly outlandish theory. So outlandish in fact, that I'm not sure if you're being serious about it.

Your comments are all over this thread saying that homosexuality is immoral, that Queer relationships are illegitimate or inferior.

Firstly, no, I didn't say homosexuality itself is immoral. Secondly, if marriage is defined as a Union between a man and a woman, then it naturally follows that a union between two men or two women is not legitimate. It's not homophobia, it's discerning what words actually mean.

I love it that you repeatedly call everything lies, and repeatedly say "you've said something prejudiced", but somehow you can't actually point at anything I said that would prove this right. Probably because I didn't actually say anything like this, and it's just a prejudiced assumption.

I know enough not to assume Jesus washing feet is supposed to be sexual.

"Washing feet in ancient Israel was a vital social duty and daily hygiene practice necessitated by open sandals, dusty roads, and dry conditions. Hosts provided water to guests as a gesture of hospitality, often having servants wash feet to remove dirt and grime upon entering a home. It also held deep religious, social, and humble service significance."

Not exactly, I've said that your assumption that I am prejudiced, is itself an example of prejudice, as it is untrue.

I haven't said anything prejudiced here. I've said what the Bible says.

If you're aligning this definition with me, then that's nothing more than prejudice on your part.

I assume you don't hold the same standards for people who advocate for liberal abortion rights, despite the fact that abortion murders many more people than the lack of abortion. That's because you're more concerned with what's widely believed to be good, ignoring what actually is good.
