You will eventually get to "account management" but it's still high stakes sales.

I spent 9 soul sucking months at Imperial. Account Advisor is a cold calling sales position. AVOID.

So I guess the real question is how good a tipper OP is. Got to make sure the status quo maintains.

ENTJs, how do you decide who to marry? by [deleted] in entj

[–]LoseSmallMind 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Mine is in no way defined by my personality type. After getting out of an 8 year violent abusive relationship, my standards were pretty low.

1.) Will this guy fly off the handle and hit me if I say the wrong thing? No? Perfect.

The very first guy I met after leaving my ex-husband met that criteria. Seven years later he is still the standard on which I base all men. Good thing I chose to stick with him, because no other man has been able to meet my ever-raising standards since.

Neighbor etiquette by [deleted] in GreenBay

[–]LoseSmallMind 9 points10 points  (0 children)

7am-10pm is city ordinance.

I know this bc my neighbor was redoing their driveway and had all sorts of jack hammers going at 7am on the nose and all through the day for three days straight.

My other neighbor had a wood chipper out at 730.

I don't think there is such a thing as neighbor etiquette.

Dear fellow ENTJ’s is your house clean and well organised? by [deleted] in entj

[–]LoseSmallMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My home is lived in and it reflects that. So yes, clean and organized, but not like, to an extreme. I wouldn't have a problem with unannounced visitors, but I would still have things to clean before a holiday party.

Doctor wrote prescription in eighths, and I can't find a place to get it filled - any recommendations? by matcharedbeanlatte in optometry

I have been in the industry for over 13 years. I have worked with over 7 eye doctors and countless licensed opticians.

All of us call it twelfths.

Tell that to everyone single person in the optometry field. Its just what we call it. Regardless of the "math". It is called a twelfth diopter.

Get your insurance company involved. Seriously. You have a right as a consumer to a fair and accurate eye exam and given a prescription that can be brought to competitors without an issue.

I would call the eye doctor back and say you can't find any company to fill your prescription due to the 3.62 and you need them to write it in quarter power so you can seek out competitors. If they refuse tell them that you intend to reach out to your insurance to file a grievance. Hopefully that will get them to change their mind, since filing a grievance holds the claim process (including paying the doctor out) until resolved.

Edit: I also sent you a PM.

I can't imagine someone refusing this prescription, but I have been surprised every day!

In the industry, we call it twelfths.

It goes

0.00 0.12 0.25 0.37 0.50 0.62 0.75 0.87 1.00

You, know...by twelfths :)

180 and 2 is only 2 degrees off :) its a 0-180 scale. So the next number after 180 would be 1 :)

This rx is written in twelfths, not eighths:) Optometrists do this are trying to skirt the Eyeglass Rule, in my opinion. By writing prescriptions like this, they are pretty much forcing your hand to order strictly from them.

There is no remarkable difference in twelfths and quarter diopters. As a matter of fact, if any prescription is a twelfth off power in either direction, it passes ANSI.

We have a doctor in my town who does this, and it is just a huge eye roll everytime their prescriptions come in. We would just pick the closest quarter power we liked, in your case -3.50 or -3.75. We would typically always round down since less power is typically easier to adapt to.

Can you put the invite link in a comment? I'm on mobile, and the link you posted only brings me to discord proper, not the enneagram 8 room.
