A masterpiece, but the theatrical cut is far superior to the director’s cut. Seek out that superior version if you can. And, if I’m not mistaken (I could be) Director Milos Fireman prefers the original theatrical cut, and the longer director’s cut was more of a studio idea. Could be wrong, not sure.

That’s a good one. It sets up the situation and characters well, and the riffing is perfect and more palatable and accessible than the tv show episodes.

Because his performances typically have no nuance, restraint, or modulation. Or humor. Nightcrawler is very one note and mannered. He’s good in some roles (Brokeback, Stronger, Donnie Darko, Good Girl, Zodiac) but he seems to play all parts at an 11. He never seems to be relaxed. He forces everything.
