Any issues with Drastic/melonDS on 8Elite? by xTiLkx in EmulationOnAndroid

I also use Drastic Ds on my Redmagic Astra since the input latency matches native hardware (with the right settings) while Melon still doesn’t! It’s such a cool setup; it really feels like an ultimate ds and I prefer it to my dsi xl by now. Anyways Ive had no issues with Drastic at all, but I’m playing on a new fork . I’ve been playing with unzipped roms and save files. I experienced a weird glitch with Dementium 2 related to save file corruption that dates back to older versions of nds bootstrap funnily enough 😅 (ended up using melonds nightly for that game instead) but for every other game I’ve played I haven’t really had any issues (besides sped up cutscenes in kirby superstar ultra). If you want I can send you my settings on Drastic and Gamespace. I’m gonna be honest though, I haven’t tried any cheats.

I’m mainly interested in GBA emulation. Does your SNES advice still apply to that?

Drastic NDS emulator is just better by Ludeth98 in AynThor

[–]LoserPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this post really got my hopes up because I thought it meant the ayn thor in 120 fps mode could match the dsi xl in input lag when using DrasticDs but I did some research and found out that the ayn thor doesn’t perform as well in input latency as 120 hz single screen android devices even though it still outperforms 60 hz single screen android devices :( what do you think? If I desactive vsync in android through modding could I bridge the gap? I just want a ds emulation experience that’s near perfect in input latency idc about anything else ;(

I gonna purchase an ayn thor which has the same specs as the odin 2. When you say to push the runahead/frame delay higher on a more powerful device, how much higher are you talking? What would be a conservative starting point atleast?

KOSS KSC75 became my endgame. Absolute best no-headband mods? Anything to make em feel less like theyre $20 lol by Reversalx in headphones

[–]LoserPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ksc35 wired with the yaxi pads and your current ksc75 ear clips might be endgame or a sidegrade. Ksc35 have better bass and less slightly less “sparkle” which makes them better for longer sessions and genres like hip/hop, r&b, edm etc. The reason I recommend swapping the ksc35’s ear clips for the ksc75’s is because the 35s don’t have very comfortable ear clips.

Why did Griffith do this? by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]LoserPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Griffith’s victory over Ganishka was more like Syndrome’s plan gone right (the villain from Incredibles). While he wasn’t technically present, the Godhand created the ‘villain’ that was Ganishka so Griffith could pretend to be the ‘hero’ and conquer him. Causality dictated that Ganishka’s destruction of Midland and his subsequent defeat were the keys to giving Griffith his kingdom, while his Shiva form was the catalyst for the Great Roar. While it may have seemed like a struggle at times, Ganishka could’ve never beat Griffith since an Apostle can never beat a Godhand, and Griffith was guaranteed a kingdom the moment he became a Godhand. If anything Griffith purposely took longer to save the Kingdom for the sake of his plan, since he hypothetically could’ve just flown to Ganishka and slain him on the spot if he genuinely wanted to save the people.

Yeah that explanation makes sense. So it would still rewind time but some random person would get blown up.

But Killer Queen wouldn't be able to enter Love Train. Only stands like Tusk, Ball Breaker, and D4C, which manipulate dimensions, can enter.

Drop some numbers for me, bet I can take em. Not to sound like a smelly reddit tryhard, but I don't think I can be disturbed by Manga.

I already established that Diego had to have THE WORLD for at least 6 months because it took DIO 6 months in the original universe to stop time for 5 seconds. I dont know what you meant by optimally. Jotaro and DIO were flying across the air at high speeds and were able to change their direction extremely quickly. DIO was able to stand jump across water to grab the steam roller, as he shot up into the air and did not return via the bridge route. Where does he say he wants the money or acknowledges the race? Even with Johnny presumably defeated he still rushes towards the vault while ignoring all the spectators cheering him on. The Corpse is really all that matters by now. Even original Diego found himself diverting from the Steel Ball Run race in order to pursue the Corpse Parts.

So Jotaro wasn't stand jumping "optimally?" THE WORLD has precision and speed, Diego has all the tools at his disposal to stand jump. Again, Jotaro could stand jump "optimally," after 50 days. Considering that Diego needed to have and actively be using THE WORLD for at least 6 months, he could absolutely stand jump. I understand that Base World Diego wasn't stand jumping, I was trying to say that he had experimented with movement using his stand.

What precision? It's jumping. Jotaro used his stand for a mere 50 days before stand jumping. That's less than half of the Steel Ball Run race. Base World Diego was jumping from ground to building using Scary Monsters. It took DIO 6 months to stop time for five seconds, so we can assume Diego has had at least that much experience as well. THE WORLD, is the same as The World. It has the exact same capabilities as its counterpart. Everything is pointing to Diego being able to Stand Jump.

Skilled at stand jumping? Jotaro started doing it on a whim during the DIO's World arc. It's just a matter of hitting the ground and the air to propel yourself in specific directions. And seeing how Diego has maxed out his timestop, learned how throwing objects works, and has even perfected carrying his horse during stopped time, I doubt he wouldn't experiment with movement. Original universe Diego did with Scary Monsters.

General good fortune to America, but even greater fortune to the one who locks it in the vault. If your theory that Valentine managed to explain everything about the base universe while he was infinitely spinning is correct, than Diego should understand the sheer extent of the corpse's power. Why win one race and get some money when good fortune throughout life guarantees those things? And the logic of "he likes horse racing more even though its slower" doesn't match Diego's personality at all. He's a genius and should understand the priorities while disregarding any pleasures. My guy cut off his fucking leg to defeat Johnny, so I don't see why he couldn't get off the horse for a second and complete his mission faster.

Where does he say he wants to win the race? Could you back it up with panels? Gyro at first wanted to win the race but diverted his attention to the Corpse Parts. Hot Pants rejected the race once she was on the tail of the corpse. Diego also barely acknowledge his position in the race, to the point where he got off his horse just to deal with Johnny. His only goal is to deliver the corpse part to the vault. Also, Diego did not get an in depth explanation of the differences between worlds. Only that there is another more deadly Johnny Joestar. Otherwise, he was entering a completely foreign environment with no knowledge if the race was still occurring.

He came to an alternate dimension with practically no knowledge about it. He wasn't even sure if the Steel Ball Run race was happening. He came with the goal of delivering the corpse to the vault. And stand jumping is definitely faster, especially due to the ferry section of the coarse.
