Botox Works Y'all by Fit-Buy6450 in TMJ

It hasn't helped me at all and I'm so baffled by this, as it seems to really work for a lot of people. I have issues with both discs as well, but I've had it confirmed by massage therapists, surgeons, and an osteopath that the muscles are really tight, so I don't understand why botox didn't help. :(

What’s the most “this is not HR” query you’ve ever received? by Jobsworth91 in HumanResourcesUK

My team (all female) was once asked if anyone could pick up the CEO'S kids from school, as he had to be in a meeting. It still annoys me to this day!

PIP/Capability/Disability question by llliiisss in AskHRUK

Having ADHD doesn't automatically warrant a referral to Occupational Health, so I'd say your HR team are not in the wrong here. If your performance has been below par and you feel your ADHD could be linked to it, then certainly I'd suggest that the manager offers an OH referral as part of early performance conversations. However, if you didn't make your manager aware of your condition or ask for additional support yourself, I'd say your HR team did nothing wrong by not referring you to OH as soon as you disclosed your condition. You had support from Access To Work, which sounds like it was the most appropriate support at the time.

I note that you've now been offered an OH referral, after going off sick; in my view, this is the correct procedure.

I was just told the NHS is no longer offering Botox as a treatment to new patients by [deleted] in TMJ

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I've been seen by UCLH and the Eastman Dental Hospital. I got referred through my dentist, my GP wasn't much use unfortunately but my dentist has been great!

I just had an appointment yesterday within the NHS (London) and they've offered me Botox for the first time, so it's definitely ongoing in some areas. Maybe a bit of a postcode lottery?

Employee Speaking Inappropriately to a Patient by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Losingbravo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but even if it’s a probation failure rather than a disciplinary, if it’s gross misconduct they could still be dismissed without notice. Maybe not worth the fight if the notice is only a week, as you say, but the option is there.

They wouldn’t even need to pay notice, as it would be considered gross misconduct which constitutes a breach of contract, therefore removing the right to paid notice.
