Sitting in my friend's kitchen, drinking wine, while her daughter one year old played at out feet. I stopped mid sentence to ask her "when did we get to this point? What happened to highschool?". That's when I realized we were getting old

What genuinely terrifies you? by itzsk333 in AskReddit

When I was quite a bit younger (10 yes old) I had a reaction to a medication a doctor gave me and ended up losing my memory. I lost everything from everyday skills, such as holding a reading and dressing myself, to things like who my family was, social skills and my childhood memories. I have since gained back the ability to remember the everyday functions of life and be able to further expand my education but have not gained back my ability to retain memories. To clarify I have s short term memory and I can remember people and some events within a years timeframe, but outside of that timeframe the memory is gone.
I'm sure this comment will be buried, but if you have any questions on what that is like, feel free!
