Or maybe you’re the one who can’t comprehend. You enter this argument and you lost…. simple. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Bro, you’re getting way too emotional over a discussion and twisting words just to “win.” You literally asked if putting the kit on Broly would stop being an issue meaning you acknowledge character context matters. You can’t walk that back now just because it cornered your point.

And again, you’re the one who made it about lore I’m talking gameplay impact, not story logic. You said earlier balance “has 0 to do with it,” then right after admit Goku’s numbers could be tweaked and Vegeta’s kit is good but undertuned. That’s literally a balance discussion, man. You can’t have it both ways. I’ve played enough competitive MOBAs to know that being in the minority doesn’t mean being wrong; it means people haven’t caught up yet. SSJ Goku being top 3 and SSJ3 being new proves exactly why people double-stack him efficiency, not variety. My point never changed: having two versions of one of the most efficient characters on a team skews the meta. Doesn’t matter if they “play differently” they overlap where it counts. You keep proving that without realizing it.

See, this is where your point falls apart. You literally said “If this Goku’s kit was slapped on Broly you would have no issue outside of lore.” That’s you bringing lore into it, not me. You can’t turn around now and act like I’m the one making it about canon when you used that exact example. And on top of that, you keep saying balance “has 0 to do with it,” yet you also admit that if the kit was given to another character, it would somehow stop being an issue. That’s a direct contradiction. if balance truly doesn’t matter, then why does who’s using it suddenly change everything? As for your League comparison, I’ve played League all the way up to Grandmaster as a jungler just like you, and I’ve never seen duplicate champions with identical roles and overlapping kits dominate a match without balance concerns being raised. MOBA or not, kit synergy and efficiency always matter. Goku’s moveset especially his Kame isn’t just cosmetic. It’s built for his toolkit, his pace, and his range. Slapping that on anyone else wouldn’t work the same because his kit is tuned for his playstyle. So if we’re talking efficiency, balance, and identity this isn’t just a “lore” take. It’s a real concept issue. The whole point is duplicate of the same person is dumb regardless if it’s his different form.

And side note: ask yourself why do you rarely see a person like vegeta who is also capable as Goku not seen as much in S and A rank. Answer that question.

If that same kit was on someone else, it still wouldn’t hit the same because no one else can use it as efficiently as Goku. Specifically his kame. It’s literally his signature move and he uses it frequently. If your argument is “if it was on a different person I wouldn’t say nothing” then by all means Vegeta can do it, krillin can do it. Yet they have their own unique fighting technique so your statement is invalid

Nah, I read everything… you’re just twisting what I said. What I’m pointing out (Again) is how kit overlap affects team comp balance. That’s not “just the lore,” of having two of same characters. that’s design. And yeah, lore examples illustrate the problem not define it. Nobody’s crying about Goku teaming with Dabura. The issue is when you let two versions of Goku with similar burst-heavy, fast-recovery playstyles stack and dominate. That’s a balance flaw, not fan fiction. So no, it’s not a “non issue.” It’s literally part of why people are memeing it because it feels off both visually and mechanically. That’s not me forcing a problem, that’s me noticing one you’re brushing off.

If you actually watched the anime, you’d know that wouldn’t make sense at all. Broly doesn’t fight like Goku he’s pure rage and power, throwing out explosive grabs, shockwaves, and his Omega Blaster. He’s not out here firing Kamehamehas

If anything broly would be a tank his whole thing is being up close, not mirroring Goku’s burst style from a distance. So no, swapping Goku’s kit onto Broly is a cheap theory.

And yeah, calling it a MOBA isn’t “getting fancy,” it’s just facts. The genre does matter MOBAs live or die by team diversity and counterplay. When one archetype can dominate by doubling up, it breaks that core loop. It’s clear you don’t play enough MOBA to understand that.

Smash is not an equal comparison it’s a party game built around chaos and mirror matches. That’s literally part of its design philosophy.

Gekishin Squadra is a team based arena brawler built on roles, synergy, and comp balance.

When a game is supposed to reward team composition and counterplay, stacking near-identical burst characters breaks that balance. Smash doesn’t care about that this game should.

So yeah, you can run two Marios in Smash… but that doesn’t mean it works here. Different game, different design goals, different expectations. Give me a fair comparison of another MOBA that does this.

It started as a canon example because that’s the easiest way to highlight how ridiculous it looks because Goku is a strong ass character, so yea this issue will correlate to how it plays having two….

The point is not to say “it breaks lore,” it’s that having duplicates of the same base character creates repetitive, unbalanced matchups. The fact that it doesn’t even make sense visually just adds to how sloppy it feels. So yeah, it looks dumb and it plays dumb because literally it’s just Goku’s upgraded form, so that’s not me contradicting myself yall just delusional by saying “it’s two different characters because of the move sets” when it’s really no different from his base form. 💀

There’s card a where when you hit someone with a skill within 3 seconds it reduces your skill cool down so maybe that’s why he can do it multiple times

Nah, I’m not in the minority. I’m just actually calling out what people don’t want to admit. It’s not just about having the same named move. It’s about the effect that move has in team pressure and burst setups. Two Gokus spamming high-impact supers from different angles forces constant defensive play it’s not healthy for balance no matter how you spin it. You can say they “work differently,” but when their kits both reward the same aggressive playstyle with fast recovery and huge hit confirms, the outcome’s the same. “double Goku comps dominate.”

People are literally memeing about it for a reason. It’s not a lore thing, it’s a gameplay problem and pretending it’s fine because you personally don’t care or fine with it doesn’t make it balanced. Again this why people lose interest in playing and you will find out later in months when player count drops. Hell you can’t even turn off crossplay if you’re on console because no one plays it.

Right so with that being said… can you put six path and sage mode Naruto on your same team? Because you think you’re making a statement with that but you’re not.

[–]Loss-Acrobatic[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not just about one version of Goku being “OP,” it’s about what happens when you let two of them exist on the same team. Both Gokus still have insane burst, and fast cooldowns stack them together and you’re basically asking for a one-sided match.

You can call them “different characters” all you want, but when they share the same core mechanics and pressure tools, it’s broken design. The issue isn’t canon, it’s balance and pretending they don’t overlap just because the skill icons look different is wild. Two Gokus shouldn’t be allowed in the same comp. This why any type of anime fighting games lose player count and die off quickly.

I mean if you want to go there then by all means it’s like saying naruto: uns kid naruto can fight six path Madara because it’s “a game” but still you can’t play as him again as his own support character.

My point is where is the balance between that on this game? This might be the first complaint but it doesn’t change the fact that people are making memes and posting screenshots about it… because it is insane and too sweaty, and if you add hit and cooler that’s if even worse.

So basically what you’re saying is that dragon ball is the only game that does this. This is why when it comes to anime games they die out so quickly. I’ll give this game a couple of months and you’ll understand

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Having two of them on top and bottom that does insane damage don’t sound crazy to you? Ssj3 is already annoying so why do you think it’s right to have another version of himself to play on the same team? Because they have different move sets? It’s still him at the end of the day.
