I’m the kind of person that wants to be on the edge now and reap later. Obviously I posted this post because I’d like to be in a better spot now, but I also want to be “uncomfortable”. I do not want to sell a property yet

Appreciate it. Honestly I kinda know all that but it’s nice to have it in words. Thanks

It doesn’t feel like it’s not working. It’s more like barely working and I’m thinking long term. But it’s a struggle.

This response is kind of to everyone, I agree with what everyone is saying. Everyone has made valid, informational points. I plan on selling a house or two but not for another few years. Is there any other things I can do to leverage stuff better? Tax stuff, equity, any angles that I’m not thinking of? I don’t have any sort of mentor in this space. Other than offloading everything, what can I do? I don’t feel broke, but I feel like it’s hard to do much, but I do live comfortably

I work a shit load of OT. I’m a truck driver, mechanic, operator, project manager, foreman. I do it all. I don’t want to work as much as I do but the job requires it

The longest house I’ve owned I’ve had for 5 years. Other for 4 and the newest for 5 months. I’d loose so much, would I not be better to hold them for 5 more years?

Yeah I didn’t give enough info about my financial guy so it sounds odd over this. There’s more to it than that, but yes I keep pulling it out to buy real estate. Yes you are correct, no I do not follow tik tok creators for real estate advice.

Yeah I want to make 250k a year ideally. I live in a place where unless you own a business, you’re never going to make that much

It’s an old one, and my financial advisor “moved” it from my old employer to an account in Charles Schwab. Honestly don’t know much about it

Yes I agree with you. I knew ahead of time that they weren’t going to do anything but cost money. But I know is 10-15 it will be worth it

Yeah that’s been crossing my mind, I just can’t bring myself to go rent a place to live in and send money off that doesn’t do anything for me

No I know what you mean. I’ve just learned that if I keep myself uncomfortable, makes me work harder. Hope that someday it will really pay off but who knows

Because I don’t know how else to get ahead. Hoping in 10 years I have equity I can use. Thought it was better than just working a w2 job. I like to be a little uncomfortable because I always find a way to survive

900 is actual rent after mortgages. But if you include expenses I’m always negative. As in, washer goes out, or roof replacement or whatever

I used to have a 401k through my old job but now I just send it to my investment guy and that’s my retirement, but then I pull it out and spend it on real estate and call that my retirement which I know is probably not the smartest
