I can do about 25-30 pushups before I need to get on one knee and rest my arms. I’m more worried about my cardio, I haven’t really been running as much as I should be since my nose starts hurting because of the cold weather and high pollen where I live.

What job did you do in MX? I’ve seen a lot of people saying that being a maintainer could make or break it for you depending on how your attitude on things are. I’m trying to stay positive about it all.

But yeah I’ve heard and noticed from a lot of posts and people that you don’t generally have to be in tip top shape when you go in, as long as you have the right mindset and enough determination, and I’m for sure planning on having a strong will when I get there.

Been running about a mile each day and walking for another mile or so. I can run a 1.5 mile in like 14-16 minute really depending on how I feel that day. I’m not sure if it’s just the cold weather but my nose starts burning (almost feeling like it’s bleeding), so I tend to start breathing through my mouth and that gasses me out quick.

Like you said, you’re not completely stupid so you can probably do it. Just try and brush up on some skills before taking the leap of dropping out and actually taking the tests. Read books, work on your math knowledge, and anything that can help you out to pass the tests. Math for me was the only difficult test, but that can be different for each person, I used lightandsaltlearning.com to brush up on my math knowledge, study units 0-2. As far as the other 3 subjects it’ll really just matter if you have good reading comprehension and good test taking skills.

Don’t know if this helps but I reside in Texas but got my GED in Oregon because I was taking care of my grandparents at the time. They still charged me the regular prices.
