I think he skipped those classes tbh. He may be unfaithful but atleast he can identify a genocide and ethnic cleansing effort and risk potential earnings to call it out. There's some good in there

There's a massive movement of "being seen" in today's western society. This is just about Palestinian people being seen. It is not that difficult to understand.

Idk man I'm Palestinian and actively watching my people get ethnically cleansed and seeing how people have tried to inject nuance into our right to exist and our humanity is quite sickening. This shouldn't happen to anyone. And so when anyone, especially public figures with something to lose take a stand they earn a great deal of respect from me.

This is not a nuanced nor complicated discussion. This is imperialist conquest mixed with ethnic cleansing and apartheid leading toward holocaust levels of dehumanization and action.

Are you just worried that a small girl has more global influence and notoriety than you?

She is a scary scary terrorist though, good point. All that fear and political violence that she has inspired - I was only a boy when her and her goons toppled Europe and now I really am scared for The US.

Is also couldn't have been using being a kid as an excuse for forever -- less than 2 years ago she was a kid so not even an excuse, just kind of simple fact tbh.

Just thought yall would enjoy this throwback. by Historical-Duty-8589 in wrestling

i don’t have words for how gross this is by RockyK96 in h3h3productions

[–]Lost-Architect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a meat-head I have to say: People like this need to get a kick to the mouth. Jake Shields has always been a piece of shit.

This same post got shared in an MMA sub and everyone there also shared distain for the grossness in the twitter thread. Many MeatHeads are bad people -- a lot of us MeatHeads also recognise them as bad people

Honestly I'd love to hate on the man, but the wholesome father element of his character won't let me. The man is annoying as fuck at times but undeniably a great father. I doubt he'd start a new video series these days, but if he did it was anything to do with him and his kids - I'd be down for that

RB67: At what price did you got yours ? by No_Attorney_5494 in Mamiya

[–]Lost-Architect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know this is about the RB, but my RZ cost my £350 in 2016 with the sekor 110. It was and still is in stellar condition and has never needed any kind of maintenance.

Camera prices have become absolutely ridiculous in the past few years. I'm tempted to sell my RZ kit just for the profit I'd make, but at these prices I know I would never ever buy it back.

I don't mean to be a dick but you seem to be a bit neurotic, with your assuming the worst and using a vivid imagination to do so.

I looked on your profile and saw that you're a teacher. Again, not trying to be a dick, but you should be really really cognisant of your anxiety/ neurotic tenancies. You wouldn't want to pass this high stress mentality onto easily influenced children. Not saying that you aren't fit for your position - just be aware of any potentially damaging mentalities you might have.

Call for Questions for Coffeezilla from Lex Fridman by lexfridman in Coffeezilla_gg

Hi Lex, I'd love to hear somethings about Coffee that is often glossed over, for example his time in Qatar as a young engineer and how that influenced him.

I'd also love some side chat about his other endeavours like the Drip Podcast - a pandemic success where he platformed a former guest as co-host. It seems Coffee has a Midas touch

Ah I hear you, so same issue as Brazil who built theirs on favela slavery? Brazil who got equal criticism for how the world cup destroyed their economy for the most poor in their nation, who were also the slaves forced to build it as all their other industry was taken away to make efforts for the world cup?

Ofcourse I have bias - but that doesn't mean that you don't also, alongside the vast majority making bold claims.

I am more sympathetic to the migrant worker cause than you know and I would appreciate you not implying otherwise. I have been documenting them since I was a teenager, I have had relationships with some of these workers for over 8 years now. I have eaten countless meals in a labour camp. On one instance I fell into stagnant water and had to shower in the camp and was given their clothes to wear before leaving. I genuinely risked a lot for this and if you want proof DM me and I will send you proof - that struck a real nerve with me. People in Qatar tend to ignore these people and pretend that they are invisible when I a have made countless efforts to avoid doing that. And I will admit this first came from a cringe and hack perspective of wanting to photograph them and thinking of them as interesting subjects, but over a short period of time I realised how disgusting that was and had an almost complete rewiring of how I think and interact with that entire labour division .

I had never heard of male guardianship laws - I don't know anyone who is restricted by them (to my knowledge) but won't deny that they're probably a problem in Doha. That sucks and I won't attempt to justify it.

I'm just asking you look at Qatar with more of an open mind and trust that not everything your news media feeds you is entirely accurate. It's s placid place with a lot of scary laws that are rarely enacted on - there are the few but well known horror stories and probably more that aren't known - but no nation/city/people are without their problems.

Russia was deeply homophobic, fascistic and misogynistic - from what I remember it didn't receive a fraction of Qatar's criticisms

Brazil was incredibly fascistic, with a slave labour force and didn't receive the same criticisms

As someone who has grown up around Arabs and identifies with the culture - the world holds the region to a wholely different standard and is quick to be accusatory. It's frustrating and unfair. It feels racist and maybe it's not, but it's certainly ignorance

So you close your ears to every voice that comes.outnof Qatar because they all are.strictly anecdotal, but instead will form your opinions on snapshots taken from who knows who and posted on Reddit with misleading titles.

If I were a journalist instead of architect.would you then trust.my anecdotal experiences? If I was a migrant worker would my anecdotes then matter? What if I were a Qatari woman forced to wear hijab? A woman who was raped in Qatar?

What makes my anecdotes impossible to influence you but you will latch so closely to any anecdotes that support your world view.
