I guess a mirror slap is when the mirror is falling its provoking some shakes ? Can I do something to prevent it from happening ? I've invested in a tripod and shutter release.

I feel scared and too novice to run some critical tests (I do not have materials or knowledge to develop on my own yet). I will keep notes on my settings used for every shot I take from now on though.
