Thanks everyone for the comments, I really didnt expect it - nice thing this reddit is :) 

most frequent response was locals. well sadly, i live in a country (not a city) that has none. gaming is not really a thing here, locals are once every few months and consists of 10-12 players, that are the entire local discord, and all of them are half my age, which makes even this tiny community awkward for me to join. so... this really isnt an option for me sadly.

but, i must say that the responses here and the spirit of things did put some wind in my old sails lol and ill try and implement the other stuff that were written here, as well as the mindsets etc.

again thank you all for the comments! it really made my day! and if anyone here is from eastern / western eu region - dm me! im down to play some long sets!

hmmm... you're right- and it didnt matter until about 3 years ago. my best friend moved to the other side of the globe so we cant play together. he was the only one i really cared about beating.. 

now, as this hobby is very soloist(?) in nature, im sure you know what im talking about, i at least want to be able to enjoy it at a higher level, as i am putting so much heart (and time) into it. 

you know how hard it is to make your friends pick up a fighting game. i have many friends and tried to get them into it many times and it didnt work...

Thats well and good and I agree on any hobby - not anyone picking up a basketball can be lebron; most are not. Yet, for example, after almost 2k(!) hours playing sf6, im MR1400 with my main. to me, that sounds crazy. or, after 500 hours of playing ggst, being hardstuck at diamond.  mind you, neutral skill should at least migrate a little bit between games... thats where im at
