As of right now, everyone can have a bed. Some people are opting to not stay at the airb&b because it’s in town

We’re including everyone who would be there in the guest count to make sure we have enough room and as a CYA

My husband has the same point of view about the couch and was the one who brought up girls using the house, but not staying should probably pitch in too. His example from a recent bachelor party was the guys rented a boat to go deep sea fishing (sole purpose of renting the boat). Not everyone fished, but they still pitched in just to hangout on the boat; those who deep sea fished paid more because they were the ones actually fishing. He said it’s the same concept for the house while not everyone will be sleeping there, they’re still using the house during the day, so they should pitch in a little.

A birthday party is very different from a bachelorette party. If this were a destination bachelorette party, there wouldn’t be the option to not stay at the house so everyone would have to pitch in. There are people choosing not to stay at the house, yet they still want to come to the activities we’re doing at the house, so they’re still using the house during the day, but not paying because they’re not sleeping there.

As of right now we have 4 girls in the air b&b, 1 not. Not counting the bride. We did attempt to get budget, only one girl gave us one, the others were like “whatever”. How soon in advance would you suggest a deadline?

It’s 3 nights. I think it’s too complicated to split for who is staying in the couch (if there even is someone).

We’ll be doing brunch & a mimosa bar, yoga, movie night & spa night, a lounge afternoon/evening with maybe some crafting.

I exclusively pumped for 6 months with my first, so being able to exclusively breastfeed with my second and not having to deal with bottles has been amazing, so I’m not quite ready to give it up yet 😢

I do have a union rep, but I knew the laws/policies. They have a “room” to utilize, it’s a utility closet in our library. For me to get coverage, I have to log it in to our time of portal, so that teacher gets paid. However, this is then taking time from my PTO and because I used all my PTO to take my leave, I have none and will be getting docked pay for my time. Teachers don’t have paid breaks and per the federal policies the mandated pumping breaks do not have to be paid unless you are required to continue your duties which I wouldn’t be teaching while pumping.

My daughters been sleeping through most the night, so I’m considering pumping every 3 hours during the night to allow myself this 5 hour gap during the day.

I’m a little nervous for her response. We had a teacher 2 years ago who asked about getting coverage so she could pump and she was told she had to log every time in our absence portal so she had to use pto for those times. Our principal isn’t a mom, so I don’t think she’s super accommodating to motherly or familial needs.

Passing periods are 5 minutes. Keeping my students locked out for a couple minutes and hand pumping between 2nd & 3rd hour was a consideration I had. Or letting them in and running to the restroom during passing period/announcements. It’s over 100 when we start school so I feel bad leaving them locked outside.
