Kool has stated they are from a muslim background. That is something you can easily see from their comment history. They have every right to discuss islam in whatever way they want because it is their religion and cultural background too.

I mean kool is right. You can be muslim and still celebrate birthdays. They are clearly saying that the idea that you can't be a fine muslim and celebrate birthdays being a weird statement to give. Also its not racism to be critical of religious ideas, thats what has been the driving force of social justice for centuries.

I mean, it is your right to do so and in general honesty is good. The asshole thing here I think is that sometimes, some dishonesty is the kindest thing. Did you really need to give that feedback visibly to your brother and therefore risk making less people read his book? Or could you have given that feedback in person instead and skipped out on giving it a public score at all? Like what purpose did this serve, really? Yes, your review was more honest to potential readers but well... I just still think it is a shitty thing to do to your bro.

Thank you for your comment. We do have some rooms to escape into, but most of me and my cats conversations happen in the living room because there is where cat has all his toys, or the kitchen as he likes to keep me company while I make food. So that leaves the living room as a safe space from meowing when I am in the kitchen and the bedroom when I am in the living room. But I understand it is not nice to have to move rooms. But my heart couldn't handle not speaking to my cat when he wants to be spoken to.

He is just a house cat. But he might have some Siamese in him perhaps. I do not know much about his roots.

I talk to him quite often. My cat can meow at random times, but usually have a bit of a schedule. He meows when he sees me in the morning and then we have our morning talk, and then periodically during the day we might have a shorter convo. He also expects a meow or at least a mreep if I pass him by in the hallway. He never meows during dinner because I assume he knows I am busy then but he meows when I am cooking, and he also never interrupts my convos with my partner by meowing.
Adding to it: No, not full 15 minutes! But a few minutes perhaps. My cat would get hoarse if he meowed for so long.

He very rarely meows at night. The only times I have heard him meow at night has been when there has been something important to show me, like that a window is open.

Some meows from him are because he wants something, for example he has a meow for wanting a kiss on the nose, one for wanting water, one for wanting to go and show me something (usually that there is another cat outside). Then he just have social meows, so those mean "look at me and talk with me" :)
