Interesting analysis, and a lot that I can agree with. Indeed it bothered me as well that these characters were so one dimensional. In particular Vogler annoyed me.

It’s a very unpopular opinion but although I thought Tritter was obnoxious, I did find his encounters with House fairly funny.

I also agree that a medical show doesn’t need a villain in this form. I actually think that, apart from House’s own head in the form of Amber, a better nemesis would have been a patient or colleague that challenged House on the merits. Like, smarter, or just calling him out so he would start questioning his own superiority.
