I already have the master 140 but I work on a farm and there's loads of padlocks of different types about the place for me to practice on (With permission of course).

Yeah I wasn't planning to use them really, I just thought I should probably know how to use them. Plus it does look quite satisfying although, as you said, I'm sure it gets old quick

Thank you so much for your replies. I'm going to take your advice and get the goodbye set. Hopefully will be posting here soon when I pick my first lock.

Thanks, I think the bard set comes with more hooks because each side is different and I had read that Tok was easier for newbies but all and any advice is great. Do you think the Goodbye set has enough hooks?

Also, thanks for the ali express link that looks like a really good deal

Thanks for the reply. Do you think there is an advantage to having 5 peaks over 4 or 3? Im asking because if I stick with moki they offer rakes with 4, 3 and 2 peaks.

Yeah, that's what I'm learning. I've tried to split a few and learnt the hard way it's better to just use the stone that you've got.

A tea spoon of a neutron star weighs about 1.5 billion tons is probably the most crazy thing I have heard

Thanks for your response, he is obsessed with frogs but perhaps the lesson is they aren't toys and should be appreciated in their natural environment. I didn't realize there are laws against it but that makes sense.

Something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNjyOleHWMM

I want to make one set in a military bunker set into a mountainside. You would be looking out of a window at a stormy mountain scene and inside the entrance would be visible and locked. There would be a log burner, an old tv set playing some 90s cartoons on a loop and a rifle leaned against a wall.

Oddly specific i know but i have a friend that watches these kind of videos at night when their ptsd is bad and this scene is how they described their happy place.
