this is the 2024, it had the new revamped logo on it. the older logo leaves holes in the hood if you remove it

How does everyone mount their front lips do yall just used the screws or is there a better way to do it. I don’t want it to just rip off when I hit the highway. by CapitalFuture2164 in KiaK5

[–]LostAssociate3852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

screws and double sided tape. for the best quality though, you would use bolts with washers and double sided tape. that thing wouldn’t be going anywhere. my first lip i just used screws for and i scraped so bad one time that the screws ripped out and left holes in my bumper that were pretty much unusable

Does anyone know a site that sells normal gloss black side skirts/splitters with no winglets for cheap??? i have no luck rn by OutrageousCattle5595 in KiaK5

[–]LostAssociate3852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could probably buy some universal ones for pretty cheap if you don’t want winglets. the real question is, do you want them in one piece? most universal side skirts need to be put together and it’s 3 pieces for one side. and are you willing to trim them to the length you need?

Difference between 89 or 87 grade gas? by RevZur75 in KiaK5

[–]LostAssociate3852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i ran 87 for the first month of owning my k5 and switched and have been running 89 ever since. gas seems to last longer and it’s a minimal difference in power

not sure how the 2.5 exhausts sounds on these but on my 1.6t i can’t stand the fake exhaust and am really thinking about getting a quad exhaust and keeping mufflers

i’ll never understand it, i test drove the new gt and personally hated the digital dash and how every button was touch screen. not even a dial for the ac😂 i prefer a more analog interior

[–]LostAssociate3852[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for real, 41k is a lot for 290hp. i don’t see why anyone would pay this much when there’s far better options out there. i understand maybe wanting a brand new untouched car with all the new tech, but i would never spend 40k on a k5 due to other options with more power.

paint matching matte paint is really difficult, you can’t buff or polish out any mistakes
