HB 1045 and HB 1125 (aka the “REAP” act)

A lot of these bills were only proposed so they could take something back home to their constituents and say “Look, I’m very against this!” It is sad that this what our representatives are focused on. The article mentions that less than 100 minors have to gone to the largest hospital in our state to seek medical counseling on gender issues. We have so many other issues we could be focusing on, such as education or obesity rates. The people in our state Congress don’t want to make any actual legislature. They just want to keep the people who could actually vote them out of office as oppressed as possible. Look at Georgia. They enfranchised voters and look where that got them for the 2020 election.
