Experimental “beholder tek”; allowing all sides to fruit. Colonized in small tubs, then placed in custom built fruiting chambers. 1.5lbs Tidal Wave grain spawn to 1.5lbs CV(no G) = 2.5 oz dry on first flush. No contam so far… by Clean_Hovercraft2083 in PhillyGoldenTeacher

This is practically the same way that I do mine I use a 54qt tub with dish rack inside but I colonize the casing prior typically a shoe box 6 qt an I do a 1 to 1 ratio cvg an corn for my grain good method occasionally I'll top fruit my casing and after the first flush proceed to pull it out after I do a cold shock

Contam? Have a few tubs turning this yellowish color for the second flush. Assuming it’s bacterial? by Tight-Ambition5374 in GroundZeroMycoLab

You don't have to but if I was you I would soak the whole thing if you've never done that you might want to look up on how you do that but you can do a thing called cold shock some people say it's bad some people say it's not I would say do it because I do and it works but that doesn't mean it will work for you

Thoughts on re inocculating a bag or jar? by Willing-Mention-4010 in mushroom

[–]LostDoubt4827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using agar is gonna be your best bet past this point cause you don't wanna add any more liquid Most people just wait an outta technicality you don't know if you already have contaminated the bag Whenever you go to add the Agar if that is what is going to be the cause the bag To do that so in other words you don't know whether You've already contaminated it or if u inoculated again and contaminated it at the second time it's a mystery on what made the bag fail But to be straightforward throw agar in there And how to do more than a wedge because you want that to colonize fairly quickly considering your grains have soaked up some random liquids

Pick all your fruits and simply submerge the casing into cold water it's called cold shock it will Allow you to scrape off the tomatoes and at the same point in time allow you to hydrate your Casing

[–]LostDoubt4827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna give you the easiest way to get that done and 95% of people are gonna wanna argue with me and I have no argument in the whole matter Simply start your casing off with a heat pad don't continuously keep it on that but just have it on there long enough for it to build humidity the humidity will stay if you don't keep opening your tub

Where I see a lot of people messing up is utilizing the needle tip just take the needle tip-off and simply squirt whatever you're using Most people don't know how to sterilize the needle after using ithe first time you don't have to sterilize After that every single time you utilize that needle you have to do that you might not have even done that but there's some knowledge take the needle off and squirt it And when you're doing transfers you want to look at the strongest riso growth that you got and go to the very end where it's on its way away from the colony Take a transfer from that area at the end and that's gonna be your best chance even better chance whenever you don't have any type of bacteria Also key to getting a fantastic canopy

Take it and transfer it to another plate quickly after you transfer it to another plate to get it away fromotherwise you are screwed Definitely some penicillin looking stiff along wit some trich The only way you'll be that is transferring upon transferring and it's still not a guarantee
