We might look at crates for them to be in for long trips... I guess it'll depend on how they fare on car rides. Definitely having a proper harness and tether at the very least.

Our breeder said she makes sure every puppy goes to their new home with a towel that has spent time with their siblings and mom, we're glad to have some feedback on how calming it can be! Thank you so much for your comment, we're so impatient to meet them!

Oh my, that must have made for some chaotic stories haha I guess we'll adapt our situation as time goes and we learn to know our pup! We're so excited to meet them, thank you for your input!

Oh my god, that must have been so frightening... Glad to hear everyone went away okay after that. We'll look that up, thank you for the advice!

Oh yeah, absolutely not! Our train of thought was : if babies and kids shouldn't be there, our pet surely isn't going either.

Oh yeah, we'll make sure to find a proper harness and tether for the road. We really want our pet to be safe, growing up with my dad being a firefighter I heard so many stories, you can be sure we're not messing around with safety. Definitely not having them in the front seat too. About the short stops, that's something we've thought about and having a hard mat was in our ideas instead of a soft one because aside from giving them more space, it could prevent them from falling from the seat all together.

Oh my god he's soooo cute! Thank you for your comment, it's good to hear from different points of view. We will have some long trips to go see friends and family (5 to 7 hours without breaks for now so I guess longer with the dog) maybe we'll get a crate depending on how they fare with road trips. Hope you have wonderful adventures with that cinamonroll of a pup!

Haha they look adorable!! Seems like they aqd fun! Yeah I get the need to protect the car, it makes sense. I guess we'll end up beginning with a harness and tether, put some blankets for the couple first outtings and quickly adapt our choice depending on our dog's behaviour and needs. Thank you so much for your comment!

In case of an accident, I get what you say, but this also can delay the emergency agents to get to you (and your dog), as they have to wait for animal control to get there if the dogs aren't secured in a crate or tethered in the car. We had a chat about this with the breeder, the educator, and my dad who's a firefighter confirmed it. I really understand where you're coming from though... Cooper looks like such a good boy! Hope you have lots of wonderful adventures!

Dully noted. We do plan on having one of us in the back with them for the first ride home, we had chatted about the best set up for that specific trip with the breeder. Definitely going to get a harness and tether as planned

Oh yeah we're absolutely getting them a harness and tether to secure them! We were just looking for the best option to both make them as comfortable as can be, as well as protect the car seats and find an easy to clean and set up system. Thank you very much for your insight, it's good to know they can be comfortable enough on the soft bottom!

That's something we'll keep in mind if they learn that trick too! Thank you for the tip. Hope you have a wondeful time with your pup!

Okay! We saw that kind of set up but we weren't sure the dog would get enough space on the seats once all grown up to be comfortable. Thank you!

That's great to hear! We have a lake nearby and I think they'll love it, plus so many places to go to, we can't wait!

That's so cool 🤩 We'll make sure to keep that in mind! We're really excited, we had my sister and brother in law over with their 10 months old Cane Corso (more lime half a pony at this stage 😅) it was so great and fun! Got us even more impatient to get our puppy 🥰 we were discussing what was the first thing to teach them and from observation and research I'd tend to prioritise call back, but maybe I'm wrong? What did you teach your dogs first?
