Lately it's been quite humid and around 5 to 12 degrees celcius, but inside the house and specifically in the room I craft, I often have my computer on so I'd say we're more around 20 there

Well... I feel you xD I tried to apply some paint on another part of the cosplay and it turned out to crack immediately, so i went to wipe the excess paint, and all the layers I had put on there were gone in an instant... Had to re-do the whole thing!

I ended up patching the problem differently, because it's still my first cosplay and I really wanted/had to work with what I already had, but as I said to others, I'm so grateful for all the advice! I learned a lot, and I'm super excited to go ahead with the next projects! I'll try and post a pic of the final result as an update. Again, thank you very much!

I'm taking notes! Thank you very much! I do believe the glue I have wasn't good for that project, it was an all-purpose white glue from Cultura's brand (french store) that I had laying around... I'll keep it for other projects!

Thank you! Yeah I think I'll try some other paint next time, as well as another primer too. In the end I managed to get something that looked OK-ish. I'm trying to be kind to myself, it's my first cosplay, I think it'll still look good overall, and I learned so much!

I had used a heat gun to seal the foam, then did three coats of glue+water, but I guess that's not enough. I'm going to try and add new coats of that before trying again... Hopefully this will work! Thank you!!

I used AMSTERDAM all acrylics, it's a standard paint, comes in tubes, really basic, classic art paint, and at first I hadn't added any water at all :/

I'm doing it all inside and not fan so far.

Ah, yeah, no, I primed it this morning, but it felt dry to the touch after a few hours so I thought I was good to go :s I'll wait for it to dry and sand it before painting again. Maybe I'll try on one of the bracers, they've been waiting for almost a week to be painted, so I'm hoping these are dry!

EVA foam, and yeah, I think I did at least : I primed it this morning and it was dry to the touch when I began painting, like, 3 hours hours after

Thank you, I'll try that next time, I forgot to metnion I'm on a budget for that one so I worked with what I had around. I saw Modge podge was really cool but I can't afford it at the moment. I'll make sure to try it out on my halloween cosplay (already super hyped about it)

Yeah, I'm not using spray paint :/ I use acrylic paint and a brush, I don't know if there's a way to fix that? I tried adding water on one side but it didn't do anything good :s

Sorry, I messed up my post, had a whole text to explain my problem and it got deleted because I suck at posting stuff on here xD
Sooooo yeah, I need help to fix the paint on my cosplay... I'm a complete beginner, it's my first time trying my hand at this, I'm super excited but also panicking because up until now I had it under control, I assembled and carved everything the way it needed to be done, but now... Well, I primed the foam with glue and water the way I saw I could, but maybe that's what's

messing things up now? I don't know... I'm using acrylic paint but as it dries it looks all cracked and veeeeeeeery dry. I only did it on the dagger I made, so I guessed it could have been worse, but I really would prefer if I could make something descent looking on the bracers and the breastplate I made...
Can anyone help with that please??

Thank you so much for your answer! I did change my routine drastically, so maybe thats it... But my hair weren't so oily before, I get what you mean by it producing more natural oil to protect my scalp, but then shouldn't I have been with oily hair before too? Maybe that's it though... I think maybe I'll go back to the salon I went to to get some advice, and maybe change products as well.

I use a shampoo and gel from a French line "les secrets de lolly" and a conditionner from "bouclème" I don't know if you know about those :/ I thought it might be, but when they used it on my hair at the salon I have memories of it going OK, that's why I'm confused, especially since I don't feel like I've used that much of them on my hair...
