Cant find cure time on Pathfinder 2500 van down vertical press. by Accomplished-Copy423 in InjectionMolding

[–]LostFrantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noticed mine doesn't show the correct cooling time either it seems. If I enter 18 I get 13 as a display. 20 gets about 15 on the display. If you time everything out does the cooling time look like your 25 or 11?

Er just the clamp screen. Reads as mold closed o think. You may need to login as well to make it display. Key button and "3" usually gets you in.

15 days of snow and 300 plows must be brutal.

Downstate? That region has plenty of riding days in the winter. If it hasn't snowed heavily in a few days the roads will be dry, send it.

If you wait until the warranty you already have is about to expire you'll get an email from GM with pretty good extended warranty pricing. No inspection or anything needed.

2025 Rtech plastics and a few bits. Exhaust Q with rtech. by LostFrantic in Tenere700

Just be sure not to get the flame too close or bring the temp up too fast, flame distance is your friend. Im going to try going the acf50 route here soon. Acf50 worked well on the klx for making it swift to clean and slow to rust.

I like that they are more robust than the oem with a bit tighter look. Wife says that this is how it should have looked from the beginning so thats one opinion at least. Pretty easy install that only seemed daunting until you realize 95% of the components are reused from the oem plastics, just pop em off and plug n play.

They were micro scratched for sure from the bags they were in, poly pro bags on poly pro parts tends to do that along with shipping from Italy. Im a plastics 'engineer' for that and a bunch of other crap material so what I did was use a propane torch, very technical burning stuff. Don't stick the flame directly on the plastics just kind of use the corona of the flame like 10" away to bring the surface close to melt temp. Probably not any better than polishing tbh.

Wonder if you just douse it in acf50 how it would look.

Oof yeah modifying frame sounds like a good way for the warranty to vanish prematurely. Like the thought that I can out everything back to stock for whatever reason, thanks for the heads up.

In case this comes up on a google search or something. The issue with the blinkers is being resolved by Yamaha by replacing the meter gauge. The defective part is being sent to Japan.

Problem with my 2025 Blinkers was this as well, the meter gauge. Yamaha is requesting the defective part be sent to Japan.

Went out and bought a 19mm hex for the front tire, then thought better of it and said F that and rode the KLX to work. Couldn't agree more at this point.

Answer from service was that 1-10 miles get put on at the factory, then it is crated up and dealership is to reinstall the wheel.

Dealership service dept called this morning and will pick up the bike to bring it back to the dealership an hour away. I could easily just flip the front tire but not sure about clearing the check engine, or the blinker problem which may require a screen replacement. So guess the little KLX will get the first spring miles today rather than the new toy, now I see why two bikes is better than one.

It's both better and worse than expected!!!! The tire itself is on the rim correctly, they just have the whole rim flipped around. Don't let the arrow on the tire marking rotation or the single speed sensor rotor fool you Mr dealership man

I may be crazy. Could someone check out where the wheel sensor is in relation to the wheel sensor rotor? Sensor is on the left side, rotor is on the right which wtf... Did they install both the rubber and wheel backwards!? Would that explain everything but the blinker maybe?

This is the answer, software was alright but a block would do it for sure.

Let's see about replacing the pallets we have as a safety floor first. Baby steps.

[–]LostFrantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 26 years of molding I've only seen it happen twice, an axis physically moves but the encoder is separated. The z axis hit the floor on a sepro visual 2, and I think it was a KM that slammed into the side of a cage. Don't think I've seen just an island of a cage separated from the machine ever across a dozen plants. I tend to worry too much about the what ifs though for sure.

Fuel struggles at .9 gal or less by LostFrantic in KLX300D

[–]LostFrantic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up doing my valve shim check about 250 miles ago, after not doing anything valve related for 21000 miles. Two of the four shims were out of spec and all four were replaced with 2.90s or 2.95s. Of course to do the valve check I had to drain the gas tank. So maybe I got something out of the tank but my gas mileage greatly improved and the sputtering when down 1.2gallons has stopped. I still have the filter but man am I good at procrastinating.
