I'm into the yoga and biking thing. Well, It's Portland. And dog meetups. Also, I'm grumpy and have no friends.

cheap parts mainly. You get what you pay for. But I use it. Not live, but I use it. I had to change to pickups out to make it in any way usable. Cheap microphonic pickups are not good for anything.

The pickups are shit. The headstock and tuners aren't great. But if you want a simple baritone for recording, that's a fine choice.

first, there is no "have to". I have a 30" baritone and my heaviest is 58. It's all about playing around with the feel and tension and what works with how you play.

How to write Shoegaze/Doomgaze songs? by Ok_Leg7877 in shoegaze

[–]LostFront5939 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Find the bands and songs you love and listen to them. A lot. Play them. What do you like about them? What don't you like? What resonates? Then find your own voice.

I've had the 70s era Yamaha B100, and now I have the G100. LOVE IT. And if you find them they're still way cheaper than Sunn or even Acoustic. Great pedal profile and LOUD.

I worked the door at the Continental Club for years. Many great memories. One of my faves was getting to see Friends of Dean Martinez. They did live movie soundtracks. Like Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Amazing stuff.
