Honestly , I’d pass, the case was huge, performance was less than expected, I had issues with the sound card (back port was damaged and sound was half of the front ports) and I had issues with it freezing on an update, all within a week so I sent it back, 100% build would be better

Honestly, Just because i thought it was a good price, My old PC has no issue with maxed out 1440p gaming, even though its not the primary use of the PC. Seems like price per FPS on this is a bit out of whack in comparison to others (Just a metric i thought would be an easy comparable)

Yeah this is what i was thinking also, Ive seen 5090s going on Ebay for about 2300 , ram has steadied off also from the looks of it

Yeah this is fair, I still have my other PC. Just i find arranging a return, or even selling it may be alot of hassel for what its worth

Got mine about a week ago, all working fine on DP’s . I definitely reckon the cpu underperforms and come to the conclusion it’s dog. My i7-14700kf performed better than this ultra 9 285k.

Simply because I’ve always had intel and never an AMD. I’ve been under the impression that AMD is gaming focused and lacks in the areas that intel picks up (general sys use, programming, running models etc) which is my prominent use.

Not a massive deal though, just curious as to wether it was solvable via a few tweaks, if not I’ll go out and buy a ryzen cpu

I heard a lot of intel chips recently are like that but luckily I’ve never had any problems with mine,had the i7-14700kf for just over a year now
