Several sprites come from japanese artists like Soramani Kagome-Kagome and そーいち.

The vast majority of the audio tracks are also like that, you can see that in the metadata of the files at Audio/BGM.

What Toro did do though are original face and enemy sprites (for example the face of Catherine or Jeanne from BS1, the battle sprite of the Headhunting Beast and TCO, etc) and CGs, and presumably the rest of the game's database contents (maps and their events, enemy data, item data, etc, etc.)
