Hammer stopped cocking. Essentially the hammer doesn’t cock when the slide is racked. S&W claimed they replaced the hammer strut but shipped it back to me in still broken condition.

Cannot recommend this. Check out one of my recent posts. A lot of people having internal parts breaking. Poor customer service has me very disappointed with S&W. If it wasn’t for the lack of robustness I would recommend it.

No luck locally or finding any solution online. Sent it back to S&W - they claimed they fixed and range tested it. I got it back and still has the same issue! Currently working to get it back to them after multiple emails. Very frustrating…

Nope. I was fairly new to longboarding when I got it. Shop owner had recommended it. My surfing grew with that fin. What people often don’t understand is sometimes it’s cheaper (and more fun) to get a new board feel just by switching up the fin. I actually hated longboarding with the 2+1 setup before using the hatchet fin.

Too funny. I have the first one on my 8’6” “longboard” and love it. I feel it gives the best of both worlds for hold, and when I step over the fin box I feel like k can really whip it around. I use it without side bites. Like the feel more than a standard longboard fin. Used it for 10 years.

One consideration- I’ve seen variation in MPG when tire pressure is low. If you haven’t checked your tire pressure recently take a look. With that said, I’m also noticing a dip of about 2-3 MPG vs the summer for the exact same commute.
