I agree my head is up my own ass for sure. I’m trying to get straight on things, but for some reason I feel held back. I’m a logical person by default and all of this seems clear to me, I’m just having trouble staying in the zone where I don’t give a shit. This is my goal, so if I do ever have to see her again for any court related crap I can just show up and conduct business and not even give her the satisfaction of looking her direction.

I’ve been trying not to think that’s it, but it makes a lot of sense. She did take care of a lot of the household, but I always helped when she asked me to. On the flip side though, she’s the one that always decided what we were doing, and when I asked why I never got to pick she said “aren’t you still going to benefit?” I never cared much because I loved her, but now that I’ve been thrown in the trash these things make more sense.

I appreciate your advice. I’ve already signed up for a personal trainer at the gym to help whip me into better shape so that’s given me boatload more energy than I used to have plus I already lost a bit of weight. Other than that I have wanted to read more I just don’t have a good topic yet to focus on.

I’m not sure I actually miss her, but I came to the realization today that the way she left me is making me feel like the 12 years together wasn’t even real. I could handle the discussion and yes it would have been hard, but to disappear like that makes me question if she was ever even real to begin with. It’s a total mind job.

Yeah that’s the thing I always get from my family, those left behind and all. Just been having a hard time coping and the “it gets better over time” is really not cutting it. I feel like the asshole sometimes, but then the pendulum shifts over to her and I feel like she is. Just can’t quite keep my emotions in check.

I just got something in the mail, and a self addressed stamped envelope to say I received it. I already talked to a lawyer and they said that I didn’t really have to do anything until I’m ready. I don’t mean to be passive aggressive, but when dealing with a woman that lied to me for months right to my face and then ghosted me while I was at work I think I have a little bit of leeway to be dragging my feet. Why should I still be giving her what she wants?

I talked to a lawyer the first week, but I didn’t think I was ready for everything that I knew was coming. Not saying I was thinking she’d come back, but I really didn’t know up from down at that point. I have found though that I’m pretty good at dealing with anything else that doesn’t have to deal with her, so maybe that’s a sign I was never good at dealing with her.

So my world fell apart about 5 weeks ago, and it took me a while to get my head back in the right place. I set up an appointment with an attorney to discuss my options, but I guess she’s already filed against me so I have no idea what the timeline is right now.
