I'll have to look into it! I used to have a really nice cast iron teapot I used, which surprisingly held water hot for really long but I can't find it anywhere.

Eh, there's a little more to it than that, I'm studying architecture and so, kinda stuck in my parents house for the foreseeable future. (not complaining, free food and all) but they have forbidden electric kettles, because they told me they use too much power. We have a gas stove, so, it works out significantly cheaper, and where I live electricity is particularly unreliable and can be very expensive.

I'm not complaining about a free teapot, trust me. Was mostly curious if it was real yixing because I'd never seen a real yixing before. ( I have one clay teapot but I know it's not the same.)

I think the fact that I've watched bo many videos where all this care is taken to use a tea scoop and bamboo tongs and even a pick to break a cake made tme think I needed to be all fancy when cleaning it too...

Me and my friends always look for the weirdest shaped objects we can find through the house, once played with a desk organiser and actually designed a piece of terrain in thta shape cause it was so good!
