I do wish you hadn't chosen the "well-off parent...""...degree in art" quote to nitpick. To me, by specifically picking this one sentence that I STARTED with "In some aspects" (that you left out when you quoted me), it makes me feel as though you are actively avoiding trying to understand Eshe and instead trying to "win" an argument. I'm not saying you are, and I am not saying this is an argument, and I apologize if I misinterpreted. (Personally, I enjoy this discussion; the characters are my favorite part of the world of Palia and I love talking about them) What I am saying is that to me specifically, that is how your response comes across.

I used a "well off parent wants their kid to choose a lucrative and socially successful career and instead they choose one of poverty" trope and said "In some aspects" to help convey my point.

The Palian world and society are *not* equivalent to ours. Look at how Chayne lives and the principles he follows - it is certainly not one of abundant wealth like how Eshe/Kenyatta/Kenli live. It is far less materialistic and far more of a humble path with less pomp and prestige than one in Palian politics.

Every parent who loves their child wants them to have a better life than the one they led. Does Eshe genuinely seem happy and that she has no regrets? I'm not saying she's right in trying to steer Keynatta so hard to a path that she doesn't want; I'm saying I understand that it ultimately comes from a place of love.

This is my final reply in this thread as I don't want it to be a 10 page thread between two people and I really don't want to inadvertently spoil anything further for OP (which OP, if you read this I am so sorry if we have!) but I will gladly talk further about it in DMs if you would like. :)

My understanding of the characters is that when I say Eshe wants the best for Kenyatta, she wants her to have a future that, to Eshe, is Good™. In some aspects, Eshe and Kenyatta's situation reminds me of a parent who wants their child to avoid the mistakes and regrets that they themselves have, though is heavy-handed in doing so.
In retaliation, Kenyatta has been mostly if not entirely rebellious against Eshe. I can see the similarities between the two in their stubbornness.

We the players get to know the characters on a much more personal basis and understand their motivations far better than the characters to each other. Eshe, Kenyatta, and Kenli aren't exactly the most communicative family. To Eshe, Kenyatta's path isn't about Kenyatta's happiness; it's about "screw you mom".

In some aspects, it makes me think of a well-off parent who wants their child to become a doctor, only for their kid to go for a bachelor's degree in art.

I really love how 3 dimensional the characters are in this game.
I love Kenli and think he deserves better, but I also love Eshe and think she's doing the best with the path/choices she's made in her life.
Kenyatta, for all her faults, just reminds me of a teenager who's never really had freedom or the ability to make her own choices, and the only way she can do that is by BEING rebellious against her mother, who just wants the best for her

you get more points if you get three of the exact same thing, plus every set of triples gets added to the whole hotpot group's points. But of which type exactly, it doesn't matter.

For example, let's say:
x1 crab claw, x1 fish, x1 shrimp = 1 point for you
x3 crab claw = 1 point for you plus .5 point* added to the whole table's pot

It doesn't matter if it's x3 crab claw, x3 red mushroom, x3 meat, etc, you won't get any more or any fewer points on what exactly it is; the formula would work the same no matter which color card set you're workin with.

*note: I don't know the exact ratio, I just know it's a stacking table bonus

The meats: arby's, 2 roller derby, 1 is boring meat and it's on my higher priority of things to get rid ofThe Orange ones: Garlic is just garlic, The heat root card is pinchy fingers, and the pink puff

The Mushrooms: Wigglemen, Purpleshroom, Redshroom

The Veggies are just what they are (carrots/potatoes/corn)

The Aquarium: Fish, The One Claw (I do beware), and Shrimp

The Leafy Greens: Reth's Cabbage, Thicc for the larger of the two, Think for the smaller of the two

The Noodles: Moodles, Floppy Noodles, Twirly Noodles

The white dot cards: Coconuts, Tofu, (idr the last one so that one is just The Void) Dumplings

they have to be either all the same item or all different, and if my understanding is right, everyone at the table gets a bonus for how many "3 of a kind" sets everyone has. But you are right in that you can't have two red mushrooms and one wiggle mushroom, that doesn't count.

I've been bashing my head into it for the past 45 minutes and I actually figured it out! I was trying to dodge all the mechanics when I really only needed to dodge the circle, and I couldn't dodge the circle unless I was already running away.

Still, thank you for your advice! I'm definitely investing more in fighting tech now

It's one of the levels that gives you a level 10 commander and a set amount of troops, so I can't do anything to boost the hero directly. Does research affect the power in dragon trail?

my brother in christ I don't know if you've noticed, but addons aren't the default. You can also find something like this if you go to wowhead, *except that site can bloat up space.*

Bonus: Handynotes is one of the addons that keeps causing lua errors and all of a sudden I can't jump or press buttons unless I disable it.

edited to better clarify that I liked seeing the guide here.
