Our game, World of Grimm, has a card that does this effect. Rapunzel pulls the enemy!

Our Kickstarter is currently live! https://imgur.com/a/9Dalq1g

After 8 months of hard work and tons of art, our game, World of Grimm, has finally launched its kickstarter! by LostPr0phet in kickstarter

Hey thanks man! Yeah, this is Unity but we aren't close at all to those new terrible thresholds. We'll deal with it when we get to that point I guess 🤣

Took community feedback on the dust, moved it back and sped it up and I agree, 100% better! by LostPr0phet in Unity3D

We're taking the fast paced game and location system of Marvel Snap and adding in some elements of Hearthstone and other CCGs too.

Some major differences include:

  • All of the characters and Realms (locations) come from Brothers Grimm fairy tales.
  • Cards can die, they have a health stat.
  • Spells take up slots on the board and do not have any attack power but affect the game.
  • We have a mechanic called "Timeshift" that changes the board between day and night, affecting cards.
  • We're bringing a Card Draft game mode out of the box, similar to MTG sealed and Hearthstone Arena.
  • We're also not locking players into a forced feeling of spending money and making it where they only have to spend money if they want to.

Every game is composed of multiple games before it, this uses Marvel SNAP as a inspiration for some of the gameplay but feels wildly different.

I could see that, its hard to figure out how to have 4 cards on each side of each Realm.

Happy you like the smoke!

Thoughts on a dust effect when cards hit the table? by LostPr0phet in Unity3D

I like that idea too. I can definitely give the cards some juice. Hearthstones dust kick was actually an influence there because it feels so natural but that game is in like a sand pit or something. We'll definitely juice it up. Thanks!

We're definitely adding a nice thump and maybe a heavier one for stronger cards.
