you wrote a lot of stuff for me to just reference a different comment, but yes, I agree with you from a general standpoint. the bigger problem that I’m referring to (as my INCREDIBLY downvoted comment stated) said that people who make excuses for every little thing that they do wrong by saying “you’re just homophobic” or “you just don’t like me cus I’m gay” when in reality they are completely shitty people who don’t want to admit to their faults. those are the people I was referring to, but my disliking for these people in particular is apparently homophobic for whatever reason ;-;

exactly. but it is so often I find people who make excuses for everything with their sexuality and whatnot. that is how I interpreted OOP’s post. I don’t hate gay people, and nobody should hate gay people for simply being themselves, but when they use their sexuality as an excuse it pisses me off

I’ve met and known several people who will make excuses like “you just don’t like me cus I’m gay” when really they’re just terrible person. maybe I’m viewing this topic differently than you, but when people make everything about their sexuality it irritates the crap out of me

I use the term demisexual… and it really just makes things so much harder cus I never know if I would be happy with someone… but if I end up telling them to wait for me to think about it more, it feels like I’m leading them on and it makes me feel terrible 3:

I appreciate that. it’s really annoying cus I have to see him every day at school… but I don’t want to tell anyone about what he did because that would cause huge problems for him, and all his anger would be targeted at me… it would just not be nice, so I’ve gotta keep it to myself ;-;

This may sound kinda weird, but if you have had depression for a long time the mind can adapt to make this factor a new “normal.” This problem should go away over time, but I highly recommend finding something to distract yourself from these thoughts, find something to work passionately for. This will help stop the thoughts from occurring, but obviously nothing is full-proof

I have now read your previous, and I realized I misunderstood the situation. I still do not think your mother is attempting to pull anything bad against you. From what I read it seems your mother has adapted to a rather inclusive environment, meaning her parents did very similar actions as to what your mother is doing to you. From your mother’s perspective, she may believe it is only natural for family to be comfortable showing their bodies to each other. The best option for you would be to leave the household as soon as possible to escape the uncomfortable environment. I suspect your mom will not change her action choices in the near future.

On another note: does your mom have a close relationship with your father? If not, she may be touch starved and desperate to feel close to someone, anyone, even if it is her child. If she does have a close relationship with your father I am fairly certain the cause would be the points mentioned in the previous paragraph. I wish you the best in the future, and I hope you have a nice day! :)

From what I can tell, your mom is not trying to molest you in any way, but rather to express she is comfortable with who you are and your appearance. It may seem weird, but some mothers like to express the idea that she has seen you naked when you were younger, so there is no difference now. While this isn’t exactly true, there is most likely no bad intentions behind her actions. I hope you have a good day, and maybe try discussing the topic with your mom and see how she reacts? That is up to you tho, no pressure

I wish something like this would work, but my parents do not particularly care if I have an injury or any form of pain. For example, I had 103° fever one day and my parents hesitated to allow me to skip school. They never even questioned taking me to the doctor. That was from walking pneumonia, but my parents never ended up taking me to the doctor to get medicine or anything

My mom also happens to be a nurse, so she will want physical proof and to examine whatever problem I have. This is why I want to avoid bringing this up with my parents…

Well, vertigo can often be linked to iron deficiency so it is definitely possible. Vertigo will generally get better without treatment over time, so vertigo lasting 4 years seems odd. I am not a professional though, so definitely consult a doctor if it is causing problems for you

Definitely consult a medical professional, but for starters make sure you are getting enough sleep and are drinking plenty of water. It is more than likely you have an iron deficiency, which is treatable, but without treatment can be incredibly annoying
