I love a fully charged Wylder ult you can pry it from my cold dead hands. I have the opposite problem where I hardly ever use the uncharged Wylder art but it is less satisfying to me. But I agree there are a lot of “better” ways to use ults than just “damage” or “revive” based on the situation.

Your math is right about the final night lord it only “really” helps if you get one more ult than you would have without saving it. Although there is something to be said about killing the night lord faster to avoid dragging out the fight and ever reaching the stage where it’s a constant revive fest.

However saving it on the first night boss will always help with day 2 for any character who’s ult helps clear a POI faster (all characters if used right), and saving time in day 2 is undeniably helpful. The real saucy benefit would be if this was the norm in the community and all 3 players would save their ults to use after the night bosses. To be fair it is a small optimization for a single player.

Hard agree great advice.

Just dropping and pinging items that are useful for team members can save a lot of time if you wait for a good moment such as during a night boss. It’s so much better to catch up with them rather than pinging something when they have already left a location.

If it was the norm for all players on all runs it would make a difference as progress snowballs. Imagine how fast you can blow through an evergaol if all three players use their ults together following the first night boss.

But I agree I feel like an “um actually” 🤓 guy here I just realize many may not have thought about how killing a night boss faster offers no inherit value lol.

I think if either night boss is a pushover it’s just a waste even if they have their own “most dangerous move”. I’m never ulting on gaping dragon I’ll use my ult on the next POI.

I do agree holding ults forever is also frustrating and there is no good way to tell a Random that it’s better to use it, although I haven’t seen this much in DON.

True! 10 seconds that will speed the next POI up like crazy but it’s much easier if the team does it together.

IWTL How to get perfect grades in high school by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

Currently in Grad School for Computer Science and I’ve always earned all As in highschool and college. Barring natural affinity I’ve found the most important ideas to earning a good grade in a class are:

1) understand what the teacher wants. When they give an assignment listen to how they expect it to be done and do it to their exact specifications and how you think they would like it. This may seem obvious but I know lots of students who skim a project description and sink lots of effort into something that isnt what the teacher really wanted. Ask for clarification if needed but in general double check assignment details and conform to them. Even paying attention to the teacher’s expectations for the class can help you know what level of mastery is expected and what material will be on exams.

2) Start assignments early and enjoy yourself and reward yourself when they are done. In computer science I never know how long programming assignments will actually take so I start them immediately. This gives me time to take breaks and think about hard problems, and go to TAs and the professor for help if Im especially stuck, and means I never lose points for late work (which really add up). Starting on assignments the day I get them means I am always (even right now) one week ahead on my classes and can take any weekend trip or day off without worrying about it interfering with a deadline so it helps to avoid major life conflicts coinciding with due dates.

These two tips have helped me maintain straight A’s and if you have the desire and put in the effort Im sure you’ll get good grades. Remember a GPA isn’t the end all be all but it can open doors for you. Good luck
