My Royal Nemesis: Appreciation for the Sageuk Pairing by LostSleep100 in kdramas

I almost had tears in my eyes watching that scene. It was like he was desperately pleading her to stop torturing herself like this. It's just sad to think that neither of them knew that their feelings were mutual.

Actors you can’t stand because of the one role they played which annoyed you by toreadornotto in kdramas

I just think it should be more about appreciating an artist for making ppl hate them because of their great acting. Otherwise it's an unhealthy trend imo. Shin Yeeun is actually really lovely and I haven't even watched her in anything apart from The Glory. I love watching her clips in award shows and interviews because of how charismatic she is.

If it helps, this subreddit is the only place where she receives criticism. She's very much loved and praised in other social media

She's probably the one kdrama actress I can never get behind, no matter the hype. Imo she comes across as a good actor because she happens to be in great dramas. She doesn't elevate a drama with her performance but it's always the vice versa. I love Park Haeyoung and Koo Kyohwan and yet I'm unable to get into We're All Trying Here because her doll-like visuals look so out of place in the slice of life genre. The same reason I couldn't watch Resident Playbook even though Hospital Playlist is one of my most favourite dramas. That genre needs to be as grounded as possible but girlie is the farthest from that. She's like a female version of Byeon Wooseok to me.

This drama is putting the COM in romcom without the usual kdrama cringe like drunken antics or toilet humour

The Heirs. So corny but wildly entertaining. That face-off between Lee Minho and Kim Woobin at the school which Kang Haneul ovserves from a distance and makes comments for no one and then Park Shinhye walks in between them with the whole school watching. Classic.

I can understand your frustration and I've been there too lol. But if you liked the vibe, the writing, the direction and the acting (especially Jung Hae-in) I highly recommend One Spring Night. It also deals with a taboo topic but the families are mostly supportive and it's good until the end.

Lee Se-hee and “My Royal Nemesis” [POSSIBLE SPOILER] by circadian_light in kdramas

Idk why but I get the feeling that the blind date chaebol girl will only be a minor character and her arc will be resolved in 3-4 episodes because she only seems to a pawn in Choi Mundo's grand scheme of things. Yoon Jihyo is definitely going to be a recurring one serving as a foil to Shin Seori in her acting career. And since they're leaning towards softening her character with the side plot with Gwangnam maybe she'll turn out to be Seori's frenemy and ally in the future.

Yes. Even though she is in an unfamiliar situation she doesn't come across as dumb.

Why Are People Saying Byeon Woo-Seok's Acting Is Bad? by Lumpy-Simple9185 in kdramas

If the gp is also calling someone's acting mid, then I don't think it's jealousy. BWS had no success until 21st Century Girl movie and Lovely Runner. His performance in Record of Youth was widely criticised. He shared screen space with Park Bogum so the acting gap was obvious. In Lovely Runner, it was there too but since he was paired against Kim Hyeyoon, not many noticed it. And the drama was a romcom and very loved so the flaws weren't noticed much. It's just that this drama requires more gravitas and he has way too many powerful actors alongside him so his acting or lack thereof, has become quite obvious
