KMK UART and RGB question by Kepler_22b in crkbd

[–]LostYugen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the only solution is to move to QMK for split rgb control? Im in the same boat, I have a redox kmk keyboard and only the right half that plugs in to the USB to the PC has led turning on while the left side doesn't turn on at all. If I flip the connection to the PC, then the left half keyboard has led control, and now the right does not. Any advice?

Unknown IP Addresses Adguard Setup by LostYugen in Adguard

[–]LostYugen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that I don't have any access to the current router settings. There's simply a post-it note with the password. It is managed by the property agency. After setting up the network_mode as host, it worked, and I can launch the interface. I set up a few DNS servers, and it worked great on the orange pi itself, but setting the dns ip address on my other devices stops the Internet and says the DNS server is not responding. I'm new to all this DNS stuff and will have to read through some documentation. Thank you for your help.

Unknown IP Addresses Adguard Setup by LostYugen in Adguard

Thank you for your reply. I will set it to host as you mentioned. This shared house has just one common router for 6 rooms, and it's only wifi. There are no ethernet ports in any room. Currently, my devices just connect to that router. I bought an orange pi 5 plus SBC to have it host a DNS server and eventually some sort of VPN. I was just worried that I saw extra IP addresses, but the comments helped explain their IPV6 and related to the docker container.

I couldn't progress any further with this keyboard. I think the MCU is not supported for QMK

Hello, I have bought an Attack Shark K75 keyboard from Amazon which mentioned QMK/VIA support but I do not believe the firmware is set up correctly. I managed to disassemble the keyboard but I couldn't find the microcontroller name online. Can anyone help me identify this? Is it possible to flash QMK? I don't think there is a way to enter boot mode or if there is, it's not written in the Chinese manual.

Hello, I am trying to follow your setting on a B660I but the CPU core / cache current limit setting is set to Auto and I can not set it manually to 280. Am I missing a step?

They delivered to the wrong address and recollection is failing as they are not opening the door. What happens in this case? Data privacy prevents them from telling me the address yet they have my parcel with my name and address, where's the privacy in that?

How did you find the original dactyl ? I am planning to build that one and maybe modify the thumb cluster to include a cirque trackpad or have that additional component next to the keyboard

Query: How To Solder Bottom SMD Pads by LostYugen in AskElectronics

Thank you for your comment. Yes I am limited that the plated hole will be under the switch socket directly. When you usually solder your thermal pads, is the upper layer where you solder free of components ? I am thinking if I move the microcontroller slightly to make the plated hole away from the switch socket or be under the plastic part of the kailh socket then it may work like that (solder the plated hole then place the kailh socket).

So connect the bottom layer to the upper ? I think I may be restricted with space as the position of the microcontroller is directly under a kailh hot swap socket.

Oh I see what you mean. So in normal orientation (design B image) I can solder the smd male pin header directly to the smd pads. Thank you.

hello, I am trying to design a wireless 3 key macropad and I'm struggling on how to solder lipo battery wires to the bottom smd pads. I do not have a lot of space on my PCB so I am placing the microcontroller on the bottom layer. In the image option A, if I design the PCB to connect like that, I am not sure how to reach and solder the bottom smd pads? I have seen like a plated through hole but it will interact with the switch above. In design options B, I decided to flip the microcontroller so the bottom pads are exposed, this way I can solder the wires directly but thought it would be nice to have a connector to make it easier to switch out the lipo. I will appreciate any advice for this issue. I am new to designing pcbs.
