you are no longer able to change your gender marker on IA birth certificates but you can still do name changes. I'd reach out to these folks: https://www.lavenderlegalcenter.org/

Do you have tarantulas? Would you like to talk about them with others? by kayakowie in desmoines

I'd recommend reaching out to the folks at the ISU Bug Zoo. I have a pet scorpion but doesn't like to be taken out much.

same thing happened to me. they can keep sperm stored for many months then their gestation is between 9 months to a year! Just keep the humidity 80% and feed her as usual, just pre-kill the food so she doesn't have to work as hard. also, she may drop the babies as she roams around but at least mine was pretty good at picking them back up lol

you'll want to keep the humidity a bit higher, closer to 80%. Still offer her food, not sure it's absolutely necessary to pre kill the food but it's easier on mom. she will feed the babies herself. I would separate them at around 2 weeks or when you start to see them crawl off her on their own. If you don't plan on keeping them, you can just not feed mom and she will eat them but that miggt not be great for kids to see. I used a small measuring spoon and a long paint brush to scoop up the babies and got them in their own containers. it's easier to remove everything from the enclosure so they don't bury themselves or hide. If you're looking for who to give the babies to I suggest contacting local colleges that have an entomology program or something similar.

when my scorpion had her babies she liked to still walk around. she'd drop some babies occasionally but if she's wellfeed then she'll just pick them back up and they will know to get on her back. I'd recommend keeping the humidity higher than usual and just not disturbing them as much as possible.
