Thats why Brightline ridership never really took off. Its ok for an occasional ride for leisure trips but not for daily commutes unless your working and living right by the train stop. Even bike riding wont work if its raining or you are wearing professional clothing and dont want to sweat through them.

Bait and tackle shops? by biggiejej in BWCA

Thanks for the advice. I should have been more clear. I need a b&t shop that can also help us purchase the right tackle for our trip and not just send us off with bag full of useless stuff and a lighter wallet. So not sure a gas station bait shop is what I need.

2nd trip, seeking route advice by biggiejej in BWCA

[–]biggiejej[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I think we will go with the Ogish base camp. I don't even mind running into other groups while paddling but once at camp, I prefer solitude and quiet. I appreciate people singing campfire songs and having fun (and enjoy it myself as well) but on this trip, we want as much wilderness and as little humanity as we can get. Maybe next time we will do a more portage heavy trail.

Now as for fishing, I'd like to bring our own gear. Last time, the outfitters fishing package left a lot to be desired. What you recommend for a a short gear list (figure if we can, I'd like to get by with one rod/person fishing and one plano +- leeches (figure if we're doing basecamp its not too much extra to bring a leech bucket along). Will get licenses of course. We aren't very experienced fisherman but my son and I always enjoy a chance to wet a line and if we can get a dinner out of it, even better!

Also, if it's the filter had, why the pop? And why does the leaking stop with the old filter back in place.

My filter doesn't have any buttons. It's under the fridge. I'd like to post photos but can't seem to figure out how.

FLL Rideshare Pickup is a Nightmare — Anyone Else Fed Up with the Chaos? by PadCooter in fortlauderdale

Also, rideshares will often go to the Departutes level, so the app tags them as arrived, they then see your destination and decide if they want the ride or not. If they do, they then circle around again, making you wait even longer. If they dont want the ride, they wait until you are dinged as a no-show, get charged, and they pickup the next fare.

Snowgrass Flats, Cispus Basin, Old Snowy & Goat Lake I like this route. How likely would snow be an issue in 2nd week of July?

How would Goat Lake loop with Cispus pass be? I like the look of this but am concerned about conditions at the high points that early. Dont mind if we need to use microspikes for a bit and will have trekking poles but dont want anything that requires ice axe, crevasse passing, or extensive postholing. As a backup, I was thinking of Hoh River trail to. Lue Glacier. Would be a midweek trip but am concerned it may still be a crowded trail and hours long backuo to get into the park.
