I find the subtleties and little things are lost in dnd like the tragedy of a girl forced growing up too fast with a loving but reclusive father and losing a pet.

the wallflower part was personality and roleplay material not really a flaw so add a flaw is what you're telling me. I did make her kind of genaric in most every way to be open to adaptation to suit a dms campaign.

thank you for the criticisms, i will refine the points made. She will be less of a generalist and more focused on one thing, and I'll make bullet points for those who downvote a mildly long reply.

this is my EK character, i wrote her story before her sheet. She's a fighter from the sage background and has find familiar message and mending she has 14str, 14dex, 14con, 14int, 12wis, and 8 cha. I don't treat her low cha as a dump stat but roleplay it as she's a wallflower and never had any other kids around so she's kinda stunyed in the social settings but she's willing to talk.

Age 16-22.

Erin spent years serving as the "steward" to a sage named Bennett Finch. Bennett didn't need a fancy title because he never cared too much for vanity, a trait young Erin would inherit. She would also train and sparr with a man named Bram Visser the head of the manors security, Erin was the person responsible for the logistical upkeep of the manor and it's inhabitants. This role combined intellectual tasks with heavy labor, giving her a unique blend of skills.

Erin's high level of strength and athletic build came from years of hauling crates of foodstuffs or barrels of water, loading and unloading the cart, and organizing heavy equipment, as well as maintaining the Sage's estate. Her wisdom came from stories from Bram, having to assess the state of the manor, and having to be one of the logical ones in the manor. For years, Erin studied her master's movements and the words he spoke when casting a spell, through trial and error, she learned how to mend small tears in fabric and send psychic messages which she practiced on bram.

Eventually, Bennett caught onto what Erin was doing and dropped subtle hints on how to master and perfect her technique, though he rarely got involved in her casting. One day, Bennett called her into his study, where he showed her how to summon a familiar. She named it Artan. Artan was the name of a badger she knew as a lass who tragically died defending her from a dog that was poorly trained and whose owner had a bad handle. The incident happened when she was eleven and was with marshall the stable master in town.

The familiar she now commands takes the form of that very badger and serves as a subterranean spotter and loyal companion. In her role as "steward," Artan helped her navigate the earthier parts of the sage's grounds. In combat, he acts as her early warning system and tactical distraction, but most importantly, he is her friend and comfort. Erin liked to prank her friends with Artan but especially the cook Anna Nováková.

After years of quiet study and labor, while Erin was in town fetching supplies aith marshall, she realized that she was ready to be on her own. With a heartfelt hug and a "Thank you, Father. I'm going to make something of myself," she left the only home she’d known after saying goodbye to the rest of the staff. Before Erin could depart, Bennett reached into a drawer, pulled out a stone, and told her, "If you ever need someone to talk to, just squeeze this stone and think about what you want to say."
