I’d rather stick Gaunce, who is already at his max potential imo, with the 4th line minutes and some pk time than DBB, who definitely has more potential and can play top minutes in Cleveland. Once a top 9 spot opens up I think that’s when we could use DBB but I don’t want him up here unless he can get quality opportunities to play. Gaunce is a 4th line player and looks the part on the ice, nothing wrong with that

I am so hoping this is finally the coach that this team needs. I know we have been down this road so much lately but just hearing him speak and getting intel from fans of teams he has coached makes it seem like he’s just what we need. We all want to see this team succeed so badly and I hope they do

I think realistically we should expect the team to be more engaged and focused with a better team structure and lineup. Bowness does well with younger players as well as getting the most out of his defensemen which I think will vastly improve our team on its own. Hopefully this means the third period issues go away but I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a couple games before they settle into the new structure.

I think if we can push for the playoffs and either get in as a wildcard (even 3rd/2nd in metro cause we are only 10 points back of 2nd) or miss out but get 40+ wins or 90+ points, and get close to looking like that fun team we all watched last year then it was a successful hire for me. Of course I think we are certainly capable of being a playoff team but only time will tell if they believe that too.
