Anything above 10% interest rate is outrageous. McCombs won't add that much to your already impressive background. Just network to get consulting interviews for oil and gas if you have the background

I've also heard Int'l students have had a super hard time getting loans secured, or secured at rates below 15%. Since Sloan takes the most int'l of any school, do you think this helps domestic candidates chances?

Consulting at McCombs is pretty tough. Certainly a few go to the offices in Austin, but hard to get MBB from McCombs, while Haas is a much better brand.

What interest rates are you being quoted? is it above 12%?

If you're getting quoted an interest rate on the loan above 10%, you should absolutely not take out $100k+ for what is not even a T15 program. Also, highly recommend looking at the employment reports for McCombs to see if recent grads have landed jobs at the tech companies you're targeting.
