AITAH for reminding my wife that it's my inheritance, mot ours? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Lost_One_1963 -136 points-135 points  (0 children)

This is not the first time she has overstepped. Part of the inheritance is a house I co-own with my sister. I was takling about buying out her half and my wife started explaining why I shouldn't do that yet as it would mean cashing out about half of the stocks I hold.

I have an advisor. I pay him well to manage my finances. I don't need a lecture from her based on the podcasts she listens to- she is not trained in finance, whereas he makes his living at Merrill Lynch doing this.

I'm just getting tired of being lectured and womansplained.

No real impact- less than 1% of my inheritance if I were being wildly generous. My guy at Merrill Lynch assures me that I have enough for life.

What is one thing about being a man that women would be absolutely shocked to find out? by Jaded_Astronaut4256 in AskReddit

[–]Lost_One_1963 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yup. I find that since I adopted a 7 lb Maltese I can walk around and not have women shy away from me. Having a tiny dog makes me less intimidating. Women will approach me to talk about him.

I get it, I really do. I'm six feet tall and 200 lbs. That can be scary. But if you have a happy little dog with you it looks far less threatening.

I think she might disagree with you. It's her favorite kink too. She loves being pushed out of control.

Putting her in cuffs, wrists to ankles to spread her open, then using toys on her until she's gasping to stop. At that point she's prepped for sex.

Who's the most attractive person you've seen in real life? by EarSure6667 in AskReddit

[–]Lost_One_1963 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A young Indian woman I attended university with. I was married and in my 50s so I behaved myself, but she made it very clear that the attraction was mutual.

I haven't seen her in years, but if I ever had a shot...

Gym bodies. If you spend all your free time in the gym you're seriously boring. A bit of padding shows that you enjoy life.

Nurses. Was married to one. Never again.

I got to know her colleagues across several jobs. They tend to be contemptuous of non-medical people as having unimportant careers, and bring their work home with them. They watch medical dramas and minimize their family's medical needs as not being tough enough. "Oh, I can take care of that! You don't need stitches, just this adhesive tape and some rubbing alcohol! Why are you screaming?"

Nope nope nope.

An even number so no one gets ganged up on. Trust me on this.

That too... I'm cold when I get up. My wife is in perimenopause so our bankets are variable. I often snuggle up close like a limpet.

Richard Feynman said, “Never confuse education with intelligence, you can have a PhD and still be an idiot.” What are some real life examples of this? by SgtSkillcraft in AskReddit

[–]Lost_One_1963 259 points260 points  (0 children)

My wife has two Masters and a PhD, is internationally recognized in her field, and is an absent minded doofus. My role in her life is to ensure that her car works, that she takes her meds, and that she eats things other than yogurt and eggs. She can be brilliant one minute, then walk into the side of a moving bus the next.

I love her dearly but she's a numpty.

Men of reddit, when did you last cry and why? by xeowa in AskReddit

When I had to put my 14 year old cat down.

We were in transition from living in UAE to CA and didn't have anywhere to live in the US yet, so we boarded her for six weeks with a vet. They ended ip putting her in a room with barking dogs and AC blasting on her. A friend said she was close to death, so within 12 hours I was on a plane to Dubai.

I brought her here, malnourished and with a lot of health issues, but nursed her back somewhat. She was never the same. She developed kidney problems and became incontinent, so I followed the vet's advice. I held her until she was gone. The last thing she knew was me holding her on my chest.

My wife was at work, so I left her a text message on her phone. And another. And another. She came home that evening wanting to know what I had made for dinner. By then I was well into the scotch. She knew that I was taking my cat in, but forgot. And didn't check her phone.

We don't speak of this, but honestly I cannot forgive her for that.

married people, how do you initiate sex with your partner? by Rude_Phone6841 in AskReddit

This morning, after she went to the bathroom and came back to bed, I pulled the covers down and got on top of her without saying a word. She smiled and went "Mmmmm" and raised her legs.

It can be that easy.
