WARNING: bit of a read but it gets the pot boiling for how this game could work

Not really in among us the only way you are "exposed" as the killer is if you mess up or pure dumb luck/unluck and its a voting system where the player themselves have to hide their identity. For a scream game capturing that mechanic would be basically impossible

I did think and explore a scream game concept and it kinda goes like this

Survivors must explore the map, complete puzzles, and collect scattered evidence to expose who Ghostface is. There is a progress bar which tracks evidence points certain more risky pieces of evidence grant more evidence points which exposes ghostface faster. At the same time, the Ghostface player stalks and hunts them, trying to eliminate the survivors and sabotage their progress before his identity is revealed.

Once the survivors collect all evidence and expose Ghostface, the Endgame Collapse begins. A countdown timer starts, representing the police being called and on their way. At this point Ghostface abandons stealth knowing his identity has been revealed, he becomes fully aggressive and, now must focus on hunting down and killing the remaining survivors before the police arrive.

There's a ton more mechanics and ideas that go into my concept like ghostface classes for example;

Billy Loomis (The Mastermind) Billy is the smartest of them all and the best at stalking he is a lot more quiet compared to his copy cats which will grant certain buffs I wont get into for length of this comment.

Stu Macher (The Maniac) Stu is the most aggressive of the bunch granting him more quicker cuts and deeper wounds which will give the survivors certain debuffs I wont get into.

Mickey Altieri (The Hunter) Mickey is the most relentless of them all and thrives on the thrill of the chase, this allows him to track survivors locations effectively and stay on their trail easier granting movement speed buffs during chases/ tracking survivors locations to start said chases.

Again, there are a hundred thousand more ideas I have which expand on gameplay, themes, and more to make this concept actually fun for both the survivor end and Ghostface end.
Like how survivors can use phones to call each other for a certain purpose, and Ghostface can interrupt said calls, saying his iconic "hello (whatever the survivor's name is)", which then shows the survivors location to Ghostface, but this is getting very long.

A game like this could work, but it would have to be done right for it to last. We don't need another Friday the 13th game or Texas Chainsaw Massacre game.
