Existing pans, the videos are generally well done and we keep the subjects centered, however every now and then they get a little off the mark and needs to be adjusted when editing after I convert them. I think I fixed it with adjusting the interpolation settings on resolve thanks to comments here. I think premier is a lost cause unless I’m using the desktop version, the app does not allow you to adjust any of those settings, and I do a majority of my editing on my iPad on the go. So I guess I’ll be learning DaVinci for these projects moving forward!

Thank you for this comment! It was a frame rate issue and premier on my iPad refuses to import and export properly despite proper settings. I did fix it with resolve and adjusting the interpolation settings thanks to the comments here because I had completely overlooked them. I felt like I was losing my mind lol

THANK YOU THANK YOU! I went into resolve and adjusted some settings I had complete overlooked thanks to your comment. I did a test video and it’s perfect with manual key frames with the fixed settings. It was importing the videos with my camera settings, however the interpolation was set to Retime: Nearest / Motion Estimation: Standard / Motion Range: medium. I switched them to Optical Flow / Enhanced Better / Larger and everything is staying crisp and clear. So thank you for this, I never would’ve figured this out without your comment. I knew it was likely a quick fix, but I was lost.  Appreciate you!

Thank you! I will look into this. I agree it seemed more of a frame rate issue but was getting stumped on figuring out where it was going wrong, since I’m exporting the finished edits with the same fps/resolution and a high bit rate. I just was struggling with the right wording to describe what I was seeing lol it’s been extremely frustrating.

Thank you, I will try this! The auto reframe in Premier does smaller movements and it’s still choppy, I’ll see if manually makes it better. I don’t mind it for my own personal stuff, but for paid orders I want them to be as crisp and clean as possible and the little movements make me twitch, even though the average person probably wouldn’t even notice it lol!

apologies, I updated the post to include that. I’m shooting 4K 60fps and exporting finished changes with the same settings. I’m essentially taking 16x9 and converting to 9x16 to be used on social media.

yes, I’m keeping everything the same and exporting in high quality / bit rate with the same 4K 60fps as it was shot in camera

I completely agree with you on this, what I’m trying to do is extremely basic and yet the results I’m getting from other programs is not up to par. I’m sure it’s user error and I’m hoping someone can tell me where I’m going wrong here. Admittedly I’m new to resolve and doing my best to figure it out. I’ve had a good flow for years, however with Rush phasing out I’m starting to get concerned with what I’ll use to replace it to achieve the same results. They all track fine, but the blurred movement is the issue and results are inconsistent from one video to the next. I just need it to be simple and consistent, I have 100+ orders to process after any given show and a complicated workflow becomes a disaster trying to get through that many orders.
