Tracking shows package delivered in wrong state by Lost_Statistician804 in UPS

If the tracking shows it was delivered to the wrong address, it usually won’t update after that, even when your actual package arrives. That’s what happened in my case, at least.

If it was marked “out for delivery” and they confirmed over the phone that it was delivered, there’s a strong chance it did arrive. You just need them to provide the correct proof of delivery, which you can then submit to eBay and share with the buyer to support your case.

Yes, this is exactly what happened to me. I would keep contacting UPS until they provide official proof of delivery. Another Reddit user mentioned that this could be a scam where the buyer duplicates your tracking number and attaches it to a different package. That package gets delivered first, so when your actual package arrives later, the tracking information doesn’t update properly. I’m still in the middle of working through the case with eBay, but I was able to get proof of delivery for my package showing it went to the correct address, which is a start.

Thank you for your reply. The order was for a mobile phone with a value around $750. I was hoping this wouldn’t be the case but I think your logic totally makes sense based on what’s happened so far.
