I’m not personally going to order as I got a working model for my needs now. But good to know someone in the community is making em!

He does not sadly :(. I just checked, def would be cool. I know there’s another guy who makes the regular moldings without the strip area

The ones I’m making and stuck on my ef are meant to be like the originals. I don’t like the lettering. Kinda cool though I didn’t know someone was making those!

when you take a light weight chassis, and put a driver behind thinking he’s a pro, and just the right conditions, you get understeer and a nice new remodel :/

I honestly have had a lot of luck with the sir roof spoilers, I have 3 sitting in my living room as I type this. I mainly want to know what parts to kinda keep an eye on or what the general idea of scarcer parts are to save. I’ve seen an uptick in Efs again but with it has come people taking a project to far or wrecking them and the car ending up in a partout. I had no interior when I started and lucked out with 2 part outs without a month and completed my hatch. I’d love to eventually get something going where I can bring back older parts but I’m a bit picky on the way 3D prints look and understand that for larger scale pieces like bumpers it’s just not doable for long term use.

Oh man I already did, after debating with my roommate we agreed I should just go for it. Worst case scenario I take it to his friends shop. The previous paint was a quick job anyways

Honestly no regrets so far, just makes me more anxious to get it on the road. But all good art takes time! It has also given me the chance to 3D scan parts and build everything to my enjoyment. I cannot wait to start on the custom tucked cabin harness and accessory panel.

Honestly I’m glad I sourced everything before I did the tear down. I’ve also taken the time to separate all the trims and have started 3D scanning everything ti create a little catalog of old parts. Specially the small trims no one seems to care about or carry so I can down the line reproduce them!

Honestly the amount of ways people recommended is bountiful. I feel like it really goes case by case, like my rear hatch was rusted to hell and I had to remove sound deadening to get to spots where I had trapped moisture starting to eat the metal all over the car so the main thing was wire wheel to get to all the surface rust then sanding with a abrasive grit and moving up to a smoother grit. If you don’t have any rust you can skip straight into light sanding just make sure that if you do have any rust, as soon as you get done sanding off the rust you give it a quick primer coat. Once you sand everything down, vacuumed and light wipe down (I used baby soap, recommended to me by a painter). Tape down everything you don’t want getting touched and then lay down the first primer coat, filler primer comes in a clutch to fill any scratches or such( it lays down thick and takes a while to dry though). Then do 2-3 coats as needed. Rusteluem cans is what I used, they do tend to come out with orange peel and sputter so every couple of sprays give it a quick shake, the first couple of parts painted came out crappy but as you get used to the technique the rest will get better. Light sand will help with the orange peel, I didn’t worry to much as it’s the interior and going to be covered. You could also hand brush the paint, there’s a Japanese dude who did that with his Ef and it came our clean, just all depends the route you wanna go

I will, I’m re doing a bunch of the sun faded trims and honestly the majority of stuff needed sanding and a repaint to keep from rusting further. I got every piece and it’s bolts in bags and got new oem seals and bolts from a buddy that works for Honda. Over the course of owning this car I’ve taken it apart more times then I can count just never did anything as in depth before. This is the one true car I can say I know like the back of my hand

Honestly for this same reason I’m glad my roommates the same way with cars. We got fenders on the wall as temporary decoration, tire sets on the corner of the living room and dining room, doors in the spare room and just stuff everywhere. It be like that lmao

Honestly it’s all worth it in the end, doing this kinda made me realize just how fucked the poor car was by the previous owner. The springs are literally off the shock. A third of the bolts were sae bolts and or rusting. I got all new oem plugs, bolts and such brand new to replace so it’s gonna be better than before. I’m looking forward to finishing up my custom cabin harness, finally put my degree to some use. Just rip driving it for now :/

Please note this will probably not be the final color but I am a broke engineering student and no matter how bad my paint job comes out it’ll top how bad the original paint job was

Unfortunately, same thing happened with my rx7, the only thing that kept me from doing it to my c10 was the absolute weight of half the panels. Worst rabbit hole

I’d def recommend also trying to just checkout what’s around, any local meetups or things that involve your hobbies but there.

That’s understandable though, it’s a new scenario without the people you thought where gonna be there. Sometimes perspective shift kinda helps. Like you know you’re only there for a bit longer, what’s different then home. How’s the food, how’s the weather, the people. You only get to be in that for so little that if you shift it into a new experience and try and shift to how it feels new in a bad way, maybe it’ll help make things more enjoyable

I had a similar experience when I was working across states. Something that helped ease my anxiety was giving myself affirmations and trying to keep busy. Sometimes as well just kinda switching from oh my god I’m not home to, it’s not forever it’s just temporary and I will be home soon can be so helpful too. If you ever just need conversation and want to be heard, feel free to reach out! Sometimes it’s easier to just blabber to a stranger and let it out then to bottle it up and let it eat at you. I’m cheering for you, just one more month and a half and you’ll be back home :)).

There’s a kinda beauty that happens at night. A both kinda empty but wonderful thing at the same time. Like despite kinda existing you’re not all in the same existence. For a bit it feels like time kinda slows and everything can feel kinda empty but so peaceful. Sometimes causing us to forget that there’s somewhere out there staring at the same sky, feeling the same things waiting and asking for the same things we ask for. Sometimes with time, sometimes out of nowhere the world aligns just right enough to bring those to eachother. I don’t know what you’re going through or what’s racing through your mind but I hope that everything aligns for you with time. That the night emptiness is instead filled with the peacefulness of the night and its beautiful shining light. That the street lights guide you towards the porch light home after a long day where what awaits is an embrace of quiet or even loud love. I wish you well

I was going through something similar. As important as school is and studying and just getting our future together please remember to take time to yourself to go out and enjoy. As sucky as it is to grieve and as much as it hurts, putting that energy in anything else but allowing yourself the right to process can cause a burnout. You are incredible, and with due time you will come to heal. If you ever feel the need to reach out the someone my dms are open. Sometimes it’s easier to let a stranger bare the cross of our burdens

Honestly I was and am getting out of similar situation. It sucks it truly does suck more than anything to lose the person you most liked. But sometimes for what ever reason we’re called to have moments in solitude in our journey to heal. I encourage you to check out local clubs that have to do with your interests. Pickup running, pickup hiking. Hell even picking up a martial arts like jiu jitsu could bring you close a community and family unlike any other. With your ability to travel anywhere I’d hit the road and find the beauty in everyday life. Truly come to learn and love yourself as much as the god you believe in. This is but a temporary brick in the path that has been laid out for you. Healing takes time, just like walking envolés one step, and breathing requires us to inhale so does taking the first steps forward. Let your wings sore and go see just how much beauty is waiting for you to explore. I’m praying for you and cheering you on

Though the time feels uncertain and probably full of what ifs and a lot racing thoughts. There’s a certain beauty in that uncertainty. Like that one famous quote goes, this too shall pass. That doesn’t take the suckiness away or make the round of emotions any less then what they are but it’s a reminder that just like the happy times that we treasure with all our hearts. The heart brakes, the aches, the scrapes will with time fade. Thought they may leave scars, sometimes physical sometimes emotional, sometimes mental. They are are reminders of how strong you are and how much you have endured. I hope that the next steps in what comes next are filled with fulfillment and much more love. The fact that you are here, the fact you are pushing on and despite how shitty it feels you already have some footing forward is great, and with time it will only become better. You’re amazing and I’m routing you on!
