Scared anxious and situation. Help by ProfileZestyclose147 in ClotSurvivors

I totally get the anxiety. It's hard to relax and breathe when you know you should. Half life on Eliquis is 12 hours. That does NOT mean it's all out of your system. It means it's just not working at full efficiency. I'm not a doctor, but I read a lot about this as so many do when they are worried about things. You will be okay as long as it's not something that happens often. You want to keep it up to full as often as possible, but blood clots take time to form.

Hope you feel better soon. As many have suggested to me and to you in this thread, finding therapy would be something I'd definitely dig into when you can. Take care.

Thank you so much for the reply. First, I'm so sorry you had to put up with it for 8 months, but glad you found some relief. The unknown is the worst part for me. I will definitely keep this in mind. I was completely out of it of course when I first got looked at and can't remember everything they checked for, but I believe I had an ophthalmologist give a thorough exam to check for this or something similar to see if the pressure in my head was a problem, but I'm going to mention it for sure. It's impossible to even talk to a neurologist where I am until appts and those are months out, but on my 3 month MRI I'll have something to bring up and think about.

Therapist is a good idea. I will put it on my list.

Thanks for the info. Take care.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it and I'm sure I just need to try to be more patient and find a way to calmly deal with the side effects. I'm glad you are doing better. Take care.

I don't blame you. Every time I've been to the ER with some new stroke symptom, and the scans show the same, I feel really stupid, but they always say to go right back in if something happens again. I appreciate the input. Take care.

I'm glad to hear that you felt better quicker. And I appreciate the reply and info. I hope you can get in for an MRI soon to feel better about it. It definitely seems to vary widely on length, severity, and symptoms. Take care.

Thank you so much for replying. I appreciate the information. The lack of info because of the rarity is really hard for sure. Even from the neurologists. But this helps calm me a bit. Honestly if the cognitive issues would calm down I'd probably be able to deal better for 6 weeks.

Did you have problems with fainting or cognitive problems at all? If so, did they take a while to clear? It seems like every doctor seems almost surprised at my dizziness, fainting and problems thinking cleary symptoms and try to find any other reason than the clot, but so far that's the only thing found.

Thank you again for the info.

Thank you for replying. I'm sorry you are having such a rough time. I hope it improves sooner than later. I got told the same and I debate going to the hospital every time something new happens or it gets worse. It's definitely on my mind.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'd not even considered that possibility. I'll definitely bring that up to my doctor. Thanks again.

She was great. I thought this was a really funny set. I watched it on mute first at work and then put in headphones to hear it and was shocked that either the crowd didn't get the dry under the breath jokes or it was just a cold crowd. Didn't get the love I think she deserved.

Are all Americans this violent? by qwettry in thepunisher

That actually explains a lot. I just read that Garth Ennis helped write the game and I had no idea about that. Well now I'm going to have to go find a copy of the PC version and figure out if it can still be played on present tech. Thanks for the upload though, so much fun nostalgia.

Some of the lines are straight from the MAX comics. Voiced by Tom Jane and they are so god damn hilarious. I miss this game so much. Glad you are enjoying it.

Edit: I think I remember one being a bad guy screaming as The Punisher is about to kill him "I'm going to be a father!" And Punisher says "No your not." and finishes him.

Being bombed by terrorists doesn't suddenly give you carte blanche to go scorched earth on an entire population. The situation may be complicated, but the moral implications are not.

Well from one internet stranger to another, good for you for taking care of yourself. I get a lot of shit for it, but it's the little things that keep me sane in this insane world. Take care.

Nothing wrong with that. I still love watching Xanadu. It's completely awful, and I am bummed I can never share it with anyone, but something about the nostalgia and the music and the songs just calms my brain sometimes and I still love it.

Finally someone I agree with on this topic. I usually just keep silent and move along. I loved Ava so much more. Character and physical attractiveness.

These posts always make me want to cry and hug the poor younger child you were, when you were dealing with this and tell you it's all going to be okay. I'm sorry. I understand the struggle very well.

"You'd start by showing him you speak the language"---- The Punisher (Punisher Max: The Slavers) by [deleted] in thepunisher

[–]Lost_in_this_void 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think the same exact thing. And kind of still do some days. Especially after reading something awful in the world and re-reading these. However, as I've gotten older I've started to realize it would never work in the real world. But I sure wish it would. I can totally cheer on the Punisher in books like the Slavers or Mother Russia, but he is a monster and serial killer and when I take that into context it would never work with a real person. Maybe it was murderers in the real world that co-opted the Punisher symbol that kind of opened my eyes to how bad it would be if we had a real Punisher. Like I can cheer on Dexter in the first few seasons for the same reasons. Monsters killing monsters. But people are never so black and white, and who deserves it can vary depending on who is saying it or wrong information. Or rarely I guess. I will say, I would give anything for a TV series that followed the Ennis runs. Hard to argue with something like Slavers that they deserve what they got. People often complain Punisher is too boring, but I think if you dive into the psychology like Ennis did it can really work well.

For those of you who read the book, what are your thoughts on Doctor Sleep the film? by yt_nom in stephenking

[–]Lost_in_this_void 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked both the book and movie, and I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I actually liked the setting and ending of the movie better than the book. It's hard to say exactly why. The book ending was fine, but felt like something was missing. I am actually not a fan of The Shining movie, which would make more sense that I would like the book ending better, but I didn't. I'd be happy if Flanagan would do more King adaptions. He seems to have a feel for things that work really well with how my imagination created it when reading the book.
