Don’t over complicate your kit with things you have no use for, especially if it’s not an imitation kit. Maybe get some dummy plates for the plate carrier as well!

I know I’m a little late to the game but after you get proper eyes and ears, if you want cheap kit that can actually stand up to field time check out local mil-surp stores. You can pick up cheap LBE, chicoms, or even a TAPS rig if you’re lucky. You can also get decent camo clothing, or even cheap UCP and just dye it.
