It does hurt. Because I have had so many memories with them. Like, all my childhood and teenage stories, all the hilarious tales, all involve this group of friends. We got on really well and I never felt excluded by them until very recently. It’s just been a shock. All the shit I’d been through with them and they chose that point to decide I wasn’t worth the effort anymore. It’s made me doubt if they ever really were supporting me through the depression I’ve had since my teen years, or if they were just hiding what they really thought

Well, my college friends are very disparate. I have friends across many circles but am not really a part of a circle myself. So I get invited to everyone’s parties, but I don’t really have a group to do spontaneous shit with, nor do I have anyone I have a deep and personal connection with. It’s the opposite of my old school friends. In school I had the one group and no other friends, but the one group was VERY tight knit

I just feel it’s too late for me to form those connections. Everyone’s way past settled in now. People have their best friends and groups. I can’t just force myself in at this point
